UVALDE, Texas — Multiple students were injured during an active shooter incident Tuesday at a Texas elementary school, officials said.
The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District said on social media there was “an active shooter at Robb Elementary,” saying, “Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered it will be shared.”
Local news station KSAT reports two children were killed — this was not confirmed.
Police later confirmed the suspect was in custody. The conditions or exact number of victims was not known.
