Today it was revealed that a supervisory agent for the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe,Joe Pientka messaged another agent that "People on the 7th floor to include Director are fired up about this server. Did you guys open a case? Reach out and put tools on?"
Why? The Alfa Bank allegation was so thin that even the researchers for the Clinton campaign said that the data did not establish the allegation. Yet, Comey and the rest were "fired up"
It seems to prove that statement made to reluctant researchers that they only needed to “give the base of a very useful narrative.” It appears that was all that was needed to "fire up" Comey et al.
