Funnily, last week I proved to myself that the curvature of the earth can actually be seen. I was at the beach, sitting on a balcony, with a
steel railing that happened to be perfectly aligned to the horizon and my eye. Using that railing the way you faggots use a ruler on a photograph, it was obvious that the horizon was higher in the center compared to the ends. No lenses, no trickery.
I know you're going to say maybe the railing wasn't straight, but I tested it in several locations with the same visual result.
