NYC Subway Killer Had 19 Prior Arrests, Was Free due to ‘Bail Reform’

25-year-old Andrew Abdullah had three felony cases pending at the time of the "completely unprovoked" killing

25-year-old Andrew Abdullah has been arrested after allegedly killing 48-year-old Daniel Enriquez in an “unprovoked” attack. The shooting took place on an NYC subway car as it pulled into the Canal Street station this past Sunday. Enriquez, who worked for Goldman Sachs, is the fourth person to be murdered on an NYC subway car this year.

The suspect sought to turn himself in through a Brooklyn clergy member, who showed up at the 5th Precinct in a Rolls Royce Tuesday afternoon in order to negotiate the alleged gunman’s surrender. NYPD found his location and arrested Abdullah before negotiations were completed, police said.

Abdullah was initially identified as a person of interest in the random and unprovoked shooting of Enriquez, according to police sources, who on Tuesday said he was the suspect in the shooting. He has yet to be formally charged, according to The New York Post.

Bishop Lamor Whitehead, who was negotiating Abdullah’s surrender with the city government, declared that Abdullah is innocent. “This man is innocent,” Whitehead said of Abdullah. “His family has untold paperwork showing that he has mental health issues. As he states, he doesn’t remember anything.”

“I pray that the courts do the right thing with this young man,” Whitehead continued. “But as per him wanting to turn himself in, I don’t believe he’s a villain.”

Abdullah’s lawyers complained that he was arrested while negotiations were ongoing. “Before Andrew Abdullah could voluntarily surrender himself to the local precinct, he was needlessly ambushed out front of our Manhattan trial office by City Marshals, denied of his opportunity to first consult with counsel,” his layers said in a statement.

“Since last night we have been actively speaking with the New York Police Department and the New York County District Attorney’s Office to negotiate his surrender, and what transpired today was completely inappropriate and unwarranted given those conversations,” they continued.

Not Just China: The US Government, Universities Are Hiding Evidence On The Origin Of COVID-19, Experts Allege

An article published last week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) has ignited a new debate over the origin of COVID-19.

Renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs and Dr. Neil Harrison, a professor of molecular pharmacology and therapeutics at Columbia University, laid out one of the most comprehensive overviews of the evidence yet that COVID-19 could potentially have emerged from a lab in Wuhan, China. However, unlike most previous analyses, Harrison and Sachs point out that there are troves of untapped evidence potentially available right here in the United States that have not yet been investigated.

Attempts to investigate what was going on at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in the leadup to the COVID-19 pandemic have thus far been stifled by a lack of cooperation from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). However, the two authors allege that more than a half dozen institutions in the United States have evidence that could prove useful in finding where COVID-19 came from, if only they would make it public.

Most of these institutions are government agencies — the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The authors also name the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and University of California-Davis (UCD) as well as EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), the non-profit which worked directly with the WIV on bat-based coronavirus research.

Neither UCD nor UNC, including Baric specifically, responded to requests for comment for this story.

The article has breathed new life into the search for COVID-19 origins, with many in the scientific community applauding Sachs and Harrison for speaking out. “The authors also show how information has been withheld at every turn, even by US taxpayer-funded agencies, and that the “experts” are no longer entitled to the benefit of the doubt. There must be vastly more transparency for trust in science to start to be restored,” Dr. Louis Nemzer, an associate professor researching biophysics at Nova Southeastern University, told the Daily Caller.

The government agencies named were involved in some fashion with funding or overseeing research at the WIV or done by EHA. UNC employs Dr. Ralph Baric, a scientist who developed a groundbreaking method of inserting new genetic code into pathogens without leaving any evidence, and used it to make coronaviruses more dangerous as part of research projects. UCD maintained a substantial database of SARS-like CoV genetic sequences as part of the government-funded PREDICT project, and EHA was the primary intermediary between U.S. government agencies — and their grant money — and Wuhan researchers.

None of these institutions have fully publicized the work they’ve done involving coronavirus research. According to Sachs and Harrison, releasing their internal communications, biological samples and other research findings could prove critical in determining if COVID-19 is in fact naturally occurring, or same from a lab in Wuhan, China.

Barack Obama Criticizes ‘Gun Lobby,’ Pushes ‘Action’ on Guns in Wake of TX Shooting

Former President Barack Obama responded to Tuesday’s attack on Robb Elementary School by criticizing the “gun lobby” and pushing for “action” on guns now.

The New York Times quoted Obama saying, “Nearly 10 years after Sandy Hook — and 10 days after Buffalo — our country is paralyzed, not by fear, but by a gun lobby and a political party that have shown no willingness to act in any way that might help prevent these tragedies.”

Obama added, “It’s long past time for action, any kind of action. And it’s another tragedy — a quieter but no less tragic one — for families to wait another day.”

President Joe Biden also responded to the Robb Elementary School attack, including mention of an “assault weapons” ban.

Biden even maligned the idea of purchasing firearms that Democrats label as “assault weapons,” saying, “What in God’s name do you need an ‘assault weapon’ for except to kill someone? Deer aren’t running through the forest with Kevlar vests on, for God’s sake.”
