Biden Admin: K-12 Schools Must Put Boys In Girls’ Bathrooms To Get Federal Lunch Money

K-12 schools must allow boys into girls’ private areas to obtain federal funds for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, the Biden administration announced this month. A U.S. Department of Education spokesman told The Federalist the Biden administration’s press releases from several agencies announcing this policy will be followed by formal rulemaking in June.

“It seems to be playing politics with feeding poor kids, which is really unfortunate,” John Elcesser, executive director of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association, said via phone amid weeks of attempting to sort out these new demands with government officials on behalf of private schools in his state. “Because if a school feels like they cannot participate because it’s in conflict with their mission or values, if a religious exemption is not granted, you’re taking away a program that’s feeding low-income kids.”

Before many schools shut down in response to Covid-19, the National School Lunch Program fed nearly 30 million kids every school day, in approximately 100,000 public and private schools and residential care facilities.

Under this new demand, establishments that accept any federal food funding, including food stamps, must also allow males who claim to be female to access female private spaces, such as showers, bathrooms, and sleeping areas. Such organizations must also follow protocols such as requiring staff to use inaccurate pronouns to describe transgender people and allowing male staff to dress as women while on the job.

Religious institutions, however, qualify for a waiver exempting them from these requirements, said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Greg Baylor in an interview Monday. According to the 1972 Title IX law, he said, religious institutions don’t have to file any paperwork to be exempt, although they can if they wish.

Baylor noted, however, that publicly affirming a commitment to sexual reality by seeking an exemption acknowledgment from federal agencies may assist extremist pressure campaigns. The activist group Human Rights Campaign’s blueprint for the Biden administration pushed for narrowing religious exemptions for multiple federal regulations and for the administration to “out” individuals and institutions who request such exemptions.

Panel Rejects Navy Attempt to Boot Officer for COVID-19 Vaccine Refusal

A Navy officer who refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine is not getting separated from the force, an administrative board recently ruled.

The board, composed of three officers, found that Lt. Bill Moseley did not commit misconduct by refusing to get the vaccine, according to R. Davis Younts, Moseley’s lawyer. The board also found unanimously that Moseley should be retained in the Navy.

A record of the May 20 hearing is not yet available, but the Navy confirmed that Moseley is not being removed.

“The Navy can confirm a board of inquiry occurred for Lt. Bill Moseley and that he was retained in the Navy. The Navy does not comment on the specifics of administrative actions,” a Navy spokeswoman told The Epoch Times in an email.

The Epoch Times has filed Freedom of Information Act requests for audio of the hearing and the verdict.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, a Biden appointee, ordered all military personnel in August 2021 to get a COVID-19 vaccine. He said the move was done to make sure military readiness was maintained during the pandemic.

Each member had the option of submitting requests for accommodation, but many requests were rejected, including the vast majority of those submitted on religious grounds.

Moseley opposes getting a COVID-19 vaccine for religious reasons but ultimately opted not to file a request for a religious exemption because he became convinced that the request was going to be denied, regardless of how legitimate it was, Younts told The Epoch Times.

Musk Warns About Declining US Birth Rate: ‘We Just Need to Celebrate Having Kids’

Billionaire Elon Musk has again sounded an alarm over the country’s dwindling birthrate, saying people should “celebrate having kids.”

The tech visionary has been for years warned that population collapse is the biggest threat to civilization, yet recently focused more on domestic underpopulation. “USA birth rate has been below min sustainable levels for ~50 years,” Musk wrote in a May 24 Twitter post.

“Contrary to what many think, the richer someone is, the fewer kids they have. I am a rare exception,” claimed the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, who is also a father of eight. “Most people I know have zero or one kid.”

Writing in reply, former Tennessee GOP congressional candidate Robby Starbuck said “America needs a culture shift that celebrates the nuclear family & having kids.”

“We just need to celebrate having kids,” Musk responded.

His remarks come as the U.S. birthrate increased last year—the first time since 2014—up 1 percent from a year earlier, according to newly released report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It shows the number of births declined by an average of 2 percent per year from 2014 to 2020, followed by a further drop of 4 percent from 2019 to 2020 in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week, the billionaire rebuked claims that having fewer children is environmental-friendly to prevent global warming, calling it “total nonsense.”

“The environment’s gonna be fine even if we doubled the population,” Musk said during a virtual summit on May 20. “We can’t have civilization just dwindle into nothing.”

In 2019, American women in households with an annual income below the poverty threshold of $13,011 have seen the highest birth rate, at 74 births per 1,000 women, according to data from Statista. In comparison, families making over $200,000 per year have the lowest birth rate—only 44 births per 1,000 women.

Official statistics show that the estimated cost in 2015 of raising a child from birth through age 17 is $233,610, excluding the cost of college education, or almost $14,000 annually.

Musk expressed similar concerns in 2019 during a seminar with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba founder Jack Ma in Shanghai. “Most people think we have too many people on the planet. But actually, this is an outdated view,” he said, describing population collapse as “the biggest issue in 20 years.”

TX School Shooter Cut His Face with Knives, Creeped Out Co-Workers and Used BB Gun to Target Random People - Reports

The 18-year-old who massacred 19 children and two adults Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, displayed a pattern of disturbing behaviors before carrying out the mass killing.

Friends and family described gunman Salvador Rolando Ramos as someone from a dysfunctional home who suffered from childhood bullying that scarred him for the rest of his life as he descended a dark spiral of violence and aggressiveness over the years.

“He was the nicest kid, the most shyest kid. He just needed to break out of his shell,” Stephen Garcia, who described himself as Ramos’ best friend in the eighth grade, told The Washington Post.

According to friends and family, schoolmates in middle school and junior high would mock Ramos’ stutter and lisp.

Ramos’ cousin Mia told the Post that she had seen for herself people bullying him for his speech impediment when they had attended middle school together in the town of 15,000 residents, where nearly one-third of people live below the poverty line, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

“He wasn’t very much of a social person after being bullied for the stutter,” said Mia, who asked that her not name be used in the report. “I think he just didn’t feel comfortable anymore at school.”

“He would get bullied hard, like bullied by a lot of people,” Garcia told the Post. “Over social media, over gaming, over everything.”

During his time as Ramos’ friend, Garcia said, he would stick up for him.

But things started to take a turn for the worse after Garcia’s family moved to another part of the state, he said.

Garcia told the Post that Ramos “just started being a different person” who “kept getting worse and worse, and I don’t even know.”

He said this “different” Ramos had dropped out of school, let his hair grow long and began to wear all black and big military boots. Classmates told the Post that Ramos would not attend classes for long periods in high school.

A young woman who worked with Ramos at Wendy’s until March told The Daily Beast that although he appeared “quiet” to several others, she noticed aggressive tendencies in him.

“He would be very rude towards the girls sometimes, and one of the cooks, threatening them by asking, ‘Do you know who I am?’ And he would also send inappropriate texts to the ladies,” the co-worker told the outlet on the condition of anonymity.

“At the park, there’d be videos of him trying to fight people with boxing gloves. He’d take them around with him,” she said, according to the outlet.

Texas school shooter bought 2 rifles after turning 18, carried out Robb Elementary attack days later

UVALDE, Texas – Salvador Ramos, the suspect in the Texas elementary school shooting, after turning 18 on May 16, legally purchased two rifles and carried out the second-worst school shooting in U.S. history within the span of eight days, according to multiple law enforcement officials.

The suspect purchased two AR-15-style rifles on May 22, two days before the massacre and six days after his birthday, multiple law enforcement officials told ABC News. They were legal purchases.

At least 19 children and two teachers were killed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, about 90 minutes west of San Antonio, authorities said. Ramos, a student at Uvalde High School, is also dead.

Once the shooter made entry into a classroom he barricaded himself and allegedly opened fire, killing 18 students, who were mainly third- and fourth-graders, as well as one teacher, sources said.

Officers from the Uvalde Police Department and agents from Customs and Border Protection entered the classroom and immediately took fire from the gunman before they shot and killed him.

Investigators are going through the ballistics to determine who fired the fatal shot.

They're also working to uncover how and when he assembled his arsenal, which included the rifle, body armor and numerous magazines recovered at the scene, sources said.

Gunman's grandfather says he was unaware the suspect purchased weapons

Rolando Reyes, 72, the gunman's grandfather, told ABC News he had no idea his grandson had purchased two AR-15-style rifles or that they were in his house.

Since Reyes is a felon, it is illegal for him to live in a house with firearms. Reyes said he would have turned his grandson in.

Reyes said there were no signs the morning of the shooting that anything unusual was going to happen. The suspect had a minor argument with his grandmother over the payment of a phone bill, but nothing significant.

The suspect lived in a front room and slept on a mattress on the floor, according to Reyes. The suspect had been staying with his grandparents after having a falling out with his mother.

Haunting images show students pretending to be dead during a recent active-shooter drill at the Texas mass murderer’s high school — conducted by the cop husband of one of the slain teachers.

Ruben Ruiz, a Uvalde school district cop and husband of slain Robb Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Eva Mireles, held the chillingly prophetic drill on March 22 at Uvalde High School, where gunman Salvador Ramos, 18, was a student.

“Our overall goal is to train every Uvalde area law enforcement officer so that we can prepare as best as possible for any situation that may arise,” the police agency said on its Facebook page.

The 16-year veteran posted photos on Facebook showing him and fellow officers posing as active shooters. He also is seen addressing students about how to react to such emergencies.

Several students are seen lying still in the halls as they played dead during the drill.
