The issues that I find irksome are that people think it only applies to the keeping of arms - it's about defending the castle if you will…my right to defend. myself and others (that's #1).
#2 is that it is only seen in the context of firearms. I need some lasers and other high-techy sh*t that I won't mention here.

Everyone sheeped about while some dude got away with something that would have had him buried 130 years ago.
If 2 people in this situation were armed and apprpropiate social attitudes towards personal defense were in place, everybody could have had a pleasant commute knowing that justice was metered out. They might have been delayed 15 mins while a station cop took a few statements.
