The whole "the FBI got scammed" is a bit of horseshit. Sussman went directly to Baker with his bs info. Baker was not an agent, but general counsel. As GC, Baker should've kicked Sussmann out of his office and told him to take what he had to an investigative agent instead, and then if there was a concern about legality it would be raised by those agents to Baker. This is how it's supposed to work. Instead Baker allowed himself to be caught in the middle. No way in hell he would not have realized the potential repercussions. He was in on it from the get-go.
