It's a "promise" when cops swear to protect and serve, NOT a legal duty. Case in point- Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 a.2d 1(D.C. Ct. of Ap., 1981) "Fundamental principle of American law is that a government and it's agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen."

Sooo.. what is the legal standing for providing "police protection" to those parents???? Why provide "police protection" to the parents outside and not the kids? Police have no legal duty to protect us AND they have qualified immunity?

yep and we should make no mention of the cops who keep letting our kids die because the supreme court has ruled that they have no legal responsibility to protect us. I mean they all promise they will with that useless oath they take and thats good enough for me. How about you? They invite you into the capitol then kill you for storming the capitol, beat you with night sticks for taking your kid to the park during quarantine, fine you for not shutting down your business, AND they have qualified immunity, just what we need is more of this empty bullshit from someone in office.
