You weren't wrong the 1st time (but I know you got inundated by the "M', gunz" crowd 'correcting' you). While an AR-15 isn't an "assault rifle", per se, it IS a rifle and it IS an "assault weapon." Hence, you CAN choose to call it an assault rifle.
