They do these "active shooters drills" in schools now, where all of the classrooms are on lockdown so that even someone trying to rescue them can't get into the room.
I've been in these classroom drills and they are bullshit.
The only way they would actually work is if each teacher had a gun in each classroom in a locked filing cabinet and each teacher had training on how to use the gun properly.
They keep the kid's private school records under lock & key, they can keep guns under lock & key.
If they were really serious about school safety this is what they would do. But they aren't. It's all about gun grabbing, not arming civilians to protect kids.

I used to work at a school and before they would do an "active shooter drill" they would notify people in the neighborhood around the school, so that they would know that it was just a drill and not to get upset.
Would be interdasting to know if any neighbors were forewarned and this was just a drill with crisis actors.
