I am my own farmers market. Like I said this scares the fuck out of me. Went big in the greenhouse this year and made sure none of my volunteer garden got bit by the freezes this winter in the actual garden. I got grown over the winter carrots and potatoes to harvest here soon. Asparagus has been the vegetable on dinners side about a dozen times this year already. I started getting real survival on my own property oriented at the beginning of the pandemic, Two new freezers, bought the greenhouse got real serious about gardening. Did about a dozen rabbits which I will probably never do again. Chickens are enough. Coop is doing well and the eggs are rolling out pretty good now. Neighbors with kids haven't bought eggs in a month.

 

I am more worried about the people who haven't/can't do what I can.

My Grandkids are totally into it too. I's been awesome. They are learning so much.

 

Unintended consequence of the pandemic is I got my whole family right where I know what is up. They had to move in.

I dehydrate a lot of stuff. Eat a lot of it though. I picked up a dehydrator just to see if it works and I do jerky in it now too. That's where my rabbits wound up. Good shit on a long day at work.

My family ha always been tight. Good Paternal instincts.

Wifeanon when she first met them like 30 years ago didn't say a word for the first half of the trip home to our place then she suddenly blurts out, almost like she was throwing up, "Jesus!! You grew up in fucking Leave it to Beaver…".

 

She didn't marry me she married my family and is now the reining matriarch..
