Forcing PRIDE down the throat of others makes them distance themselves, just as Gluttony is a sin, but eating is not.

That said, pride is a terrible quality to exhibit, but not a terrible emotion.

Pride is forcing others to accept your flaws, christians accept flawed people as they are without being forced. You force me, I resist.

How does getting a compliment equate to pride?
I get told "Good job" and it is a compliment.
When I tell my boss i did a good job, that's pride.
