The mark is forced on all, both great and small. It's not until after the 144k are sealed and the lamb stands on mount zion that those who TAKE the mark and worship it are cursed.

The only man in the bible with the number 666 associated with him is Solomon. He was world famous for his wisdom. That's two points in a single verse pointing to Solomon.
