The plans are in this book "My Friend Mr Leakey" published in the UK in1944.
J.B.S.Haldane published no other books like this "cartoonish" one. The illustrations are "enlightening"

Damned shame the illustrations are so hard to come by. Long ago I think it was Quinn Michaels? on youtube who had it and went over it.
The guy went on a rant about his "selected" (as he came to know) wife was in a sick cult in CA & at the time I thought he was nuts. Now I tend to believe him. I wasn't ready to hear it then. Prob 2016? It all runs together. I think the cult was called The Family and his concern was his kid.
