ThanQ Anons, for your stories and the sacrifices your families have made. God Bless you. My dad was a Marine chopper pilot in Vietnam 65 and an A-6 pilot in 68. He got shot down in 68 near Hanoi and spent the next 5 years in various POW camps until he was released in 73. A hero in every sense of the word. Lost him on Memorial day weekend in 95. A large piece of me has been missing ever since.

God Bless your Dad, your family and all you’ve gone through. This is the day we celebrate, respect and honor those who have given the biggest sacrifices. Your story moved my heart to gratitude and not sorrow

Our families have a similar military pedigree. My dad was a helicopter gunner, 1st Cavalry in Vietnam’68-69. Basically he sat on the “passenger” side with an M-60. He has many incredible stories, and some funny ones too. He said he had dropped his M-60 on more than one occasion. They would have to fly back to camp/base and get another one out of a barn that was full of them.

I was in the Army in the mid-90’s but got discharged after only 9 months due to a family hardship (Chapter 6: hardship discharge).

My son was a USMC Reservist up until January when he was discharged early for refusing to get the COVID vaccine.

Another story of untold bravery in the face of terrible odds and stupid leaders. Our serviceman served with incredible odds against them. I talked to a former Air force the other day. He said it was so tough in viet nam soldiers were eating plastic explosives to get high. I was shocked but not so much.

Happy Memorial day and thank you for all who have served and protected our country

Anon you are obviously hanging around for an answer of how to relieve yourself from pain and suffering where ever it came from.

I’d suggest you try this, go to a quiet place in nature and scream and yell at God, just let it lose (he can take it), then when you screamed, cursed, yelled as loud as you can and are exhausted. Lay day on the earth and try to have a conversation with God to understand what happened and how you can fix it. Ask him for healing of your psyche.

(Do not do this in a habited area, you’ll probably get arrested)

Do not become violent, just yell and scream as if you are a child in nature and alone.

Work it out with God is my suggestion, sometimes thats the only way to get to core of your suffering.

God wont punish you for doing this, he’ll rejoice that you finally came to Him for help.

Do or dont do, but we cannot solve your problems. God bless and be at peace.
