Great post but one major mistake anon. The last paragraph. Those mercenaries did have Russian citizenship but they were an outlier. They weren't not a part of the Russian Army, they didn't report to Russia, they weren't being paid by Russia. They were a big problem for Putin. How many were there of them? A thousand or 500? Anyway, Putin and Trump got together and BOOM. Putin's problem was solved, Trump got a gold sticky star and the Machine lost bigly. It was the best of time in Syria.
