After reading the obituary of a high school friends father… all the time we joked with him about how we thought he was CIA was confirmed.
He used to take vacations to Russia in the 90's.
He's show us vacation photos of the government buildings and we were like wtf dude, it's like snowing and a billion miles away and full of chicks that look like Nikolai Volkoff?

He never talked about being in CIA. When our group did our homework at his sons house, his dad would be there and help us with math and other stuff for school. When they came back from vacation we would look at some photos. He was really weird and really quiet. His day job was a Doctor. But since he learned Russian in school he somehow got recruited. Our group never knew for sure, we'd just joke and guess. I finally found out our suspicions were right when I saw his obituary.
