Well you should be made aware that before we incarnate we choose our parents and they(the portion of their souls that remains in the life between lives aka the subconsciousness) must agree to be your parents.

Perhaps in a previous life to this one you were the parent and your parent(s) were your kids.

Seems possible some karma needed to be worked off?
