I noticed your calendar tracks some NGCs. Can you say anything about NGC 2847?

Did you know, around Christmas 2013, you could ‘see’ it in the London skyline in Q post 784 with pic labeled London2847.png?

We in the UK London dig have found a correlation with NGC2847 in that we dated LISAMI6 to be 25DEC2013 +/- 1 day. We think the rest of the Traf cam pics (including London2847) are likely at the same time.

Do a night sky simulation for London around 24/25/26DEC2013

and you will see NGC2847 tucked in the constellation of HYDRA.

Quite a coincidence. Good hunting with your astronomy hobby. o7

I’ll say. Don’t know what you use to check constellations vs dates.

I use Timeanddate.com. If the site is gud enuf for Q to have used it’s gud enuf for me. MANY tools there.

Here’s a night sky simulation program. I have it set for London but you could change the location.

God speed, Anon
