I saw a sticker on the back of a truck window that said (best I can recall):If you want to take my AR then you better bring yours
That sums it up well but, the FACT is, they will most likely avoid “confiscating” weapons as there would be utter chaos and death. More likely it would go something like this:
— pass law banning ownership of whatever type(s) of guns
— give a grace period (maybe 90 days) in which to voluntarily turn in registered guns, possibly with a monetary incentive (think “gun buyback”)
— start imposing monetary penalties on non-compilers after the grace period
— increase monetary penalties for non-compilers as each day passes
— serve warrants on people who still refuse to comply with penalties including heavy fines, property confiscation, & imprisonment
