I agree low volume, sideways market is a sign of something coming. I also think, controlling investors have to think about their moves more than they are used to.
Controlling investors probably know that if they tank the market, they will be investigated, financially punished, possibly jailed. If they intentionally incur big losses through idiotic derivatives gambling or other crapshoot games, US taxpayers are not going to reimburse. If they do a flash crash to steal $$$ from mainstream investors with stop loss orders in place, they will be held accountable and small investors will get $ back. Different sheriff in DC. Different game they have to learn to play.
