Agreed. That shit is far beneath us. It got a guy in Wichita killed as he stepped out his front door, all over a $1.50 bet on some fucking video game. I really don't think people get how dangerous SWATting is or the consequences if someone dies. God only knows what the caller said to the dispatcher, but getting an actual SWAT team to respond…it must have been pretty bad.

 

30 days? It should be (and actually is in many jurisdictions) a felony. Year in prison, not jail, prison.

No. Ex parte Garland lays it out. Unknown crimes as well as known crimes that have yet to be prosecuted, are being prosecuted, or where a conviction has been obtained. The only (federal) crimes that cannot be pardoned are crimes that have yet to be committed.

The kid who made the call, called it in on the wrong house. So it wasn't even the intended victim. He's been charged with manslaughter, few more felonies. The victim stepped outside his front door and was shot in the head from about 50 yards by one of the cops across the street when he lowered one of his hands.
