Steve Wynn, married three times, net worth $3 billion

Wikipedia says he's 76, but 4 years ago he told Vanity Fair he was 63 (easy to cover the lie with cosmetic surgery, injectables and adrenochrome)

Used to be rich/demented like a James Bond-tier level villain

Like this: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2005/06/steve-wynn-las-vegas-resort

Oh how the mighty have fallen:

Steve Wynn = personification of the Wizard of Oz

There's no one behind that curtain/image

And he's BLIND:

"What the people do not realize is that Wynn can barely see them. Afflicted with a genetic disease, retinitis pigmentosa, he is slowly losing his sight. At night, and in places that are dimly lit, Wynn sees almost nothing. During the day, he has no peripheral vision, as if he’s seeing the world through a cardboard tube. Because of this, he knocks over wineglasses, stumbles on stairs, and sideswipes walls." (Vanity Fair article, ibid)

Puzzling for a blind man, he was (is?) a big-time player in the world of fine art:

"But the Bellagio’s real centerpiece—its proto—Dream Sequence—was Wynn’s collection of art, between $300 million and $400 million worth of 19th- and 20th-century masterpieces. Shortly before the Bellagio opened, in October 1998, a billboard outside the hotel announced:

COMING SOON

VAN GOGH, MONET, RENOIR, AND CÉZANNE WITH SPECIAL GUESTS

PABLO PICASSO AND HENRI MATISSE"

(Vanity Fair article, ibid)

Obsessed with his appearance:

"Everything about him is shiny and smooth. He glistens, almost. Wynn is tall, with taut bronzed skin and dark sleek hair. Every day he takes 25 vitamins and other supplements. Portioned out in little plastic packets by his majordomo, they include lutein, an antioxidant; DHEA, a hormone to slow the effects of aging; and, for his joints, chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine. Wynn has always been fit, but in the past year, since he started a strict low-carbohydrate diet, his waist size has dropped from 36 to 32 inches."

If he told all THAT to Vanity Fair, what other anti-aging treatments does he take that he doesn't want to talk about?

Aaaand his real name isn't Wynn. It's Weinberg.

"teve Wynn comes from a family of showmen. His paternal grandfather, Jacob Weinberg, emigrated from Lithuania at the turn of the last century; Jacob was a vaudevillian and a carny barker. Wynn’s father, Michael, dropped out of high school in the 1930s to begin a career as a sign painter. Because he sensed his career might be sidetracked once people knew he was Jewish, Michael Weinberg changed his professional name to Michael Wynn, in honor of Ed Wynn, a popular comedian of the era."

Am looking at all the numbers in that Vanity Fair article, and Wynn shows all the signs of the classic "don't bother me with the facts" high roller. Carried gigantic debt loads that would make the rest of us walking ulcers.

Yeah, that Vanity Fair article kind of makes mincemeat out of Steve Wynn.

But that's nothing compared to how frequently the Daily Mail uses him for headline fodder. They love crash and burn stories.

I cannot believe the Republican National Committee picked Steve Wynn as its national finance chairman. Practically nobody would be less suitable for that job. Do I think he'd do almost anything to launder money or keep himself young looking? Absolutely.

Daily Mail, doing what it does best, covering his last wedding and providing handy prices for clothes, jewelry, and parties:

Still kekking at Steve Wynn collecting fine art. Blind as a bat.

He refused to comprehend and respond appropriately to balance sheets even when he could see.

Guy is laundering money & avoiding taxes with art.
