This could be a "Total Information Awareness" (control) test, psyop or demonstration of force. This movie is old. There were no hollywood movies on VHS. It was mostly a nerd, education or tech toy thing. This movie was never released on VHS. It only came out on DvD 21 years after its 1979 release in 2001. By the 21st century we were solidly into the Total Information Control Grid.

Actually, now that I think of it. The fact that this movie is very old, very memorable but not a gigantic blockbuster is ideal for a test of Total Information Control ops. Everyone remembers it but it wasn't Star Wars. There was no way to re-watch this movie for 21 years unless you caught it at movie theater.

 

This makes it a perfect choice to see if they can make everyone doubt their lying eyes by making the braces disappear from 2001 onward.

In 1979 when this movie was shown in theaters, they didn't release most Hollywood movies on VHS. Yes there was porn and mundane stuff but Hollywood didn't start into the VHS game until several years later in the 80's and by the 90's it was humming
