I follow Sundance at CTH/TLR but on this one he is off. The Senate doesn't even have to be in full session to stop recess appointments. Recess appointments can't be made until the Senate is out of session for 72 hours. At the 72 hour mark what they have done in the past is have 1 Senator stay behind and open the Senate for 5 minutes, then close it again. They rotate the Senator assigned to the task. A full session in August means they will all have to stay.
