FBI arrests Republican gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley
LANSING — The FBI arrested Republican gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley at his western Michigan home while executing a search warrant Thursday, Crain's has learned.
FBI spokesperson Mara Schneider did not immediately give a reason for the arrest and raid, saying information would be forthcoming.
Kelley, who lives in Allendale, could not immediately be reached for comment.
The real estate broker, one of five remaining GOP candidates for governor, attended the violent Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol.
He also organized an armed protest against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home orders at the state Capitol in 2020.

Peter Rice Out at Disney as Dana Walden Rises to Top TV Content Post
In a shocking turn of events, Peter Rice has been ousted as head of TV content for Disney, to be replaced by his top lieutenant, Dana Walden.
Rice, who served as chairman of general entertainment content, came to Disney with the acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019, as did Walden. His firing comes as a shock to Disney insiders and the entertainment community.
Disney could not immediately be reached for comment.

U.S. scientists and collaborators have a powerful new instrument at their disposal—the world’s first exascale supercomputer. The international Top500 list of most powerful systems in the world named the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science system Frontier the world’s fastest supercomputer. Frontier broke the exascale limit, reaching 1.1 exaflops of performance on the High-Performance Linpack benchmark. Exascale performance is measured by calculations faster than 1018 floating point operations per second (flops), or a quintillion calculations per second.
Located at DOE’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Frontier is a collaboration between DOE and U.S. technology companies HPE and AMD. This milestone marks the beginning of the long-awaited exascale era, following more than 10 years of research and development by the nation’s brightest minds—not only for Frontier but other upcoming DOE exascale systems.
