A UK citizen who fought for the Ukrainian forces in Mariupol before surrendering in mid-April has told RT that he regrets his decision to fight for Kiev.
Aiden Aslin said the Western media had played a major role in convincing him to support the Ukrainian cause and eventually made him a “pawn” in a political game.
He was speaking to RT in an interview before a court in Donetsk sentenced him and two other foreigners to death on charges of acting as mercenaries and seeking to seize power by force in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
Aslin said he had followed the Ukrainian conflict since 2014 and was “originally pro-Russian” and “pro-Donbass.” He supported Crimea’s reunification with Russia and believes the people of Donbass have a right to independence.
“My views started to change after I started seeing media reports and stuff that was basically saying that it was not locals but the Russian soldiers that were doing everything [in Donbass],” Aslin admitted, adding that he was watching CNN as well as BBC and Fox News. Since surrendering to the DPR militia, he has found that he has more in common with the Donbass soldiers than Ukrainians with whom he had fought.

VoterGA REPORT: Evidence Shows Georgia Voting System May Have Added 15% to Raffensperger Totals
VoterGA released a report today providing evidence that corrupt Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger received an additional 15% of votes added to his totals in the recent Georgia primary.

VoterGA first presented an Election Night graphic showing Georgia’s voting system allocated 3,317 votes to a Fulton County School Board District 7 candidate who was NOT on the ballot! That same graphic showed candidate Phil Chen with zero votes at 10:12 on Election Night even though he actually received 49.7% of the vote in the race. Chen has challenged the outcome of that contest.
VoterGA also added more detail about the problems in the DeKalb District 2 Commission race where a hand count audit determined that the Dominion Democracy Suite 5.5 voting system shifted thousands of Election Day votes from one candidate to another and selected the wrong winners to face each other in a runoff. They presented excerpts from a letter written to the DeKalb County Board of Elections by VoterGA co-founder Garland Favorito. It explained a variety of reasons that the irregularities found could not be solely attributed to a candidate alignment error after one candidate withdrew from the race. The massive discrepancies also appear to be attributable to a Dominion system counting error.
But perhaps the most stunning news was the evidence collected from an audit monitoring team during the Cobb County Vinings cityhood hand count audit on Monday. The team monitored a majority of those Election Day ballots in the Vinings 04 precinct that were being hand counted. The monitoring team decided to count the votes of incumbent Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger while the cityhood count was in progress.
The team found that Secretary Raffensperger received about 53% of the Republican Election Day votes for Secretary of State in that precinct. That would be in line with the statewide voting percentages that enabled him to avoid a runoff except that the Dominion voting system awarded Raffensperger 68.4% of those same votes. Thus, the Dominion software attributed 15% more votes to Raffensperger’s totals than the actual ballots seem to show when monitors counted Raffensperger’s votes.
“We are concerned that the algorithm that appears to be adding unearned votes to Raffensperger’s totals is running statewide,” VoterGA co-founder Garland Favorito noted. “It is imperative that the SOS race be audited in all counties. That is why we filed Open Records Requests to get an independent copy of the ballots in all counties so we can verify the electronic results.”

Assad explains why Syria is sticking with Russia
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine will shape the world order, the Syrian president told RT
Syrian President Bashar Assad has told RT that Damascus is backing Russia’s military operation in Ukraine both out of loyalty and commitment to an “international equilibrium.” Assad, whose country has weathered sanctions and a US military intervention, has accused Washington of using the dollar to commit “robbery” on a global scale.
Within hours of Russia launching its offensive on Ukraine in February, President Vladimir Putin took a call from Assad, during which the Syrian leader “stressed that Syria stands with the Russian Federation, based on its conviction of the correctness of its position,” according to a readout of the call from Damascus.
“We can view Russia from two perspectives,” Assad told RT at the weekend. “The first is that of an ally: If our ally triumphs in the battle, or if their political position is strengthened… then this is a win for us as well.
“From a second perspective, Russia’s power today constitutes a restoration, albeit partial, of an international equilibrium. This rebalance that we are witnessing will impact smaller countries, including Syria,” he continued.
Assad has been a staunch ally of Putin since 2015, when Russia launched a military campaign in Syria that helped defeat Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and the collection of militias and Western-backed terrorist groups opposing Assad’s government.
To the Syrian president, Russia’s current struggle with the West – described by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as a “war by proxy” – predates the First World War, and will continue as long as the US dollar remains the world’s reserve currency.
“If the dollar continues to govern the world economy, nothing will change, regardless of the results of the war [in Ukraine],” he explained. “Using the dollar is not blackmail, it is robbery,” he continued, claiming that the Nixon administration’s decision to decouple the dollar’s value from that of gold in the 1970s made it “a worthless piece of paper.”
“The United States still continues to trade around the world using this worthless piece of paper. This is robbery, and it applies to the whole world,” he said.

Ukraine Not Giving US Much Information About Its Operations Against Russia
Officials told NYT that the US has more information on Russia's military than Ukraine's despite the billions of dollars in support
The New York Times reported on Wednesday that despite the billions of dollars in weapons the US is sending Ukraine, Kyiv has shared few details on its operational plans with Washington.
Current and former officials told the Times that US intelligence agencies have a far better picture of Russia’s military operations than Ukraine’s. Even in high-level talks with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, Ukrainian officials have only shared their strategic goals, not their operational plans.
Washington has such little information on Ukraine’s operations that it has tried to learn information from other countries operating in Ukraine, training sessions with Ukrainian forces, and even from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s public comments.
While Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials constantly make claims about the state of Russia’s forces, things like Ukrainian casualties have been a closely guarded secret, until very recently. Last week, Zelensky said Ukraine was losing between 60 and 100 troops each day as the fighting against Russia rages in the east.
The officials said that Ukraine’s government wants to project an image of strength to its close partners, so they continue providing military aid. The report says the lack of US knowledge is because Washington has focused its intelligence capabilities to be used against adversaries like Russia while helping partners like Ukraine boost their own intelligence services.
Despite the lack of a clear picture of what’s going on in Ukraine, the US continues to pour weapons into the country. In the latest escalation of military aid, the Biden administration said it will send Ukraine rocket systems capable of hitting targets up to 50 miles away.
On top of the lack of knowledge of Ukraine’s operations, there is also no oversight of the billions in weapons the US is sending to the country. CNN reported in April that the US has “almost zero” ability to track the weapons it is sending once they enter Ukraine. One source briefed on US intelligence described it as dropping the arms into a “big black hole.”

YouTube bans Russians who pranked George Bush
Russian political pranksters have been banned from YouTube after bombshell interview with ex-US President George W Bush
YouTube has permanently deleted the channel of Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, the duo announced on Thursday, after they released a bombshell interview, last month, with ex-US President George W Bush.
The pranksters, whose real names are Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Alexei Stolyarov (Lexus) say that this is not the first time their channel has been deleted and that YouTube has not given them a legitimate reason for the bans.
“Today, YouTube once again removed our Vovan & Lexus backup channel. Apparently, this time our videos did not please the departments overseas, because they hit their image hard,” said the pranksters.
This time it was the tricksters’ secondary channel that was taken down after having been up for only about a month. Vovan believes that the reason for the deletion might have been their latest interview, with former US president George W. Bush, which had been getting a lot of traction among English-speaking audiences before the channel was shut down.
“Once again, YouTube makes you think that a ‘free’ site is not so free at all,” the duo noted, adding that US and UK authorities have been “trying to clean up traces of their criminal words” which have already spread across the internet.
“They won’t be able to delete the whole internet,” the pranksters noted.
In the latest video, which is still available on other social media platforms, Bush Junior, who was president of the US from 2001 to 2009, is tricked into believing he is speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and makes several bombshell statements on a number of hot-button issues.

GOP Rep. Timmons Defends Teaching of TransGender Ideology to ‘Young’ Students
The South Carolina Congressman believes children will find the content on the internet anyway
U.S. Rep. William Timmons (R-SC) defended the teaching of transgender ideology to ‘young’ students.
Timmons said that he can understand why gender ideology would be taught to elementary school children because he had sex-ed in sixth grade. He then went on to argue that the teaching of gender ideology might not be a bad idea because children will already be exposed to it on the internet.
“At some point people are gonna get this on the internet and on Instagram and on Tik Tok or whatever,” Timmons said.
In one example, Jacob’s New Dress — a book about a boy who wants to dress like a girl — is a reading requirement for second-grade students in the Haverford School District.
Timmons went on to further defend transgender ideology when the interviewer pointed out the absurdity of it. “If somebody says a boy can be a girl and a girl can be a boy, this is the most insane postmodern ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen,” the man said.
“But there are literally people that have medical degrees that disagree with this,” Timmons shot back.
William Timmons is currently facing multiple primary challengers in South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District.

More Than 1,000 Monkeypox Cases Reported to WHO: Briefing
There have been more than 1,000 monkeypox cases reported to the World Health Organization in the current outbreak outside the countries in Africa where it more commonly spreads.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the risk of monkeypox becoming established in these non-endemic countries was real but preventable at this point.
Twenty-nine countries have reported cases in the current outbreak, which began in May. None have reported deaths.
At a media briefing in Geneva, Tedros also said there had been more than 1,400 suspected cases of monkeypox this year in Africa and 66 deaths.
“It’s an unfortunate reflection of the world we live in that the international community is only now paying attention to monkeypox because it has appeared in high-income countries,” he said.
He said the outbreak was showing signs of community transmission in some countries. WHO recommends people with monkeypox isolate at home.
Rosamund Lewis, WHO technical lead on monkeypox, said that “interpersonal close contact” was the main way monkeypox spreads, although she added that the risk of aerosol transmission was not yet fully known. Health workers caring for monkeypox patients should wear a mask, she said.
Cases are still predominantly among men who have sex with men, the WHO added, although cases in women have been reported.
The U.N. agency is working with organizations including UN AIDS and community groups to raise awareness and stop transmission.
Post-exposure vaccination, including for health workers or close contacts, including sexual partners—ideally within four days of exposure—may be considered for some countries, WHO added. The vaccines being used are designed against smallpox, a related, more dangerous virus that the world eradicated in 1980, but also work to protect against monkeypox, studies have shown.
WHO senior official Sylvie Briand said the agency is assessing the potency of vaccines stockpiled against smallpox and contacting manufacturers and countries who have previously pledged vaccines.

FDA Sued Over Hiding Records From Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Approval.

Defending the Republic, a Texas-based non-profit filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration for refusing to turn over records related to the approval of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines.
The group filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking the production of records relating to the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) internal review process of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine marketed as “Spikevax.” Given that the forces impacting the FDA’s decision to authorize the vaccine could have influenced Americans’ decision on whether or not to get vaccinated against COVID-19, Defending the Republic requested expedited processing of relevant records.
“Please provide all data and information submitted by Moderna relating to the FDA review and approval of Spikevax. This includes, but is not limited to, all safety and effectiveness data and information; all data and information in the biological product file; and all ingredients,” outlined the initial FOIA request.
On February 9th, less than a week after the initial FOIA was filed, the FDA refused the request for expedited processing, prompting Defending the Republic to appeal the decision.
“The FDA declined the appeal, leaving Defending the Republic with no choice but to file this action seeking a court order requiring the FDA produce the requested records on an expedited schedule— just as those who obtained a court order for the expedited production of records relating to the FDA approved Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine,” explains a complaint filed by Defending the Republic.
Defending the Republic was especially interested in better understanding the review process for Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, as data has shown its risk were not adequately explained to those receiving it and data surrounding its efficacy remains obscured. As Defending the Republic explains:
Despite the FDA’s promises, a closer inspection of the Spikevax approval reveal there may be glaring issues in the approval process. The Spikevax package insert concedes “[a]vailable data on SPIKEVAX administered to pregnant women are insufficient to inform vaccine-associated risks in pregnancy.” And while the FDA publicly pronounced that the “data demonstrated that Spikevax was 93% effective in preventing COVID-19,” the Spikevax fact sheet for recipients and caregivers provides important context omitted by the public officials: “The [Spikevax] duration of protection against COVID19 is currently unknown.

Progressive Lutheran Denomination’s First Transgender Bishop Accused of Racism, Resigns 1 Year into Term
Lutheran Bishop Megan Rohrer of the Sierra Pacific Synod (ELCA), the first openly transgender bishop in a major Christian denomination, has resigned over racism allegations after firing the Puerto Rican pastor of a church in Stockton, California.
In 2021, Bishop Rohrer, a biological female, became the first openly transgender bishop in the Evangelical Lutheran Church and oversaw nearly 200 congregations in Northern California and northern Nevada. Rohrer’s term as bishop of the Sierra Pacific Synod was supposed to last six years.
During college, Rohrer identified as a lesbian before becoming transgender and is married to a woman, Laurel.
In 2012, San Francisco’s board of supervisors declared August 12 as “Pastor Megan Rohrer Day” because of her role as an outspoken defender of LGTBQ people, especially the transgender homeless and Christians.
Rohrer fired the Rev. Nelson Rabell-Gonzalez last December after an inquiry by the church into alleged verbal harassment and retaliation by the pastor, all of which he denied.
The removal of Rabell-Gonzalez upset members of the Misión Latina Luterana, who accused Rohrer of acting out of racist motives, and in March the Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton, the denomination’s presiding bishop, appointed a three-person “listening panel” to investigate Rohrer’s actions.
On June 6, Eaton announced that a formal investigation into Rohrer’s conduct would be carried out based on “additional information that has come to light,” at which point Rohrer resigned as bishop.
In a letter, Rohrer said she was resigning because of “the constant misinformation, bullying and harassment” she had experienced.
On Sunday, Lutheran Church leaders began the process to discipline Rohrer following her resignation. “I shared that I am initiating the discipline process immediately including suspension of Bishop Rohrer, based on additional information that has come to light,” Eaton said.
“Let me state clearly,” Eaton wrote in a statement Wednesday. “The ELCA is a church that will not tolerate racism in any way. We will hold ourselves as fully accountable as any other person or group, and we will condemn racism wherever it exists.”

Schoolgirl ‘Self-Harmed’ After Being Hounded Out of School by Pro-Trans Bullies
A schoolgirl who was hounded out of her school by pro-transgender bullies over her political views claims that she was driven to “self-harm” by the incident.
A teenage girl who allegedly found herself under vicious attack from pro-transgender bullies in her school has alleged that the harassment drove her to self-harm at the time.
Having initially come to light last month, the allegations that the schoolgirl was hounded out of school last year for questioning transgender ideology took the British political sphere by storm, with well-known names coming out in defence of the girl, while other leftist activists heaped doubt as to whether the reports on the allegations were presenting the full story.
However, in an interview published by UnHerd on Tuesday, the girl at the centre of the controversy reiterated her telling of events, while also alleging that the bullying drove her to self-harm within the premises of the school.
“I felt their spit on my face,” the girl said, describing one incident when her fellow schoolmates circled her, calling her names such as — according to UnHerd — “Nazi, bigot, fascist, transphobe, homophobe, racist, c**t”.
What’s more, the girl claims that the school did very little to help her situation, isolating her from her fellow pupils and allegedly labelling her as someone with a history of provocation.
Eventually, she left the school, claiming she was unable to put up with the harassment any longer.

Irish President Links Church Massacre to Climate Change – Ignores Islamism
Ireland’s leftist president has attempted to link the recent massacre of at least 50 Catholic churchgoers in Nigeria to climate change, ignoring the issue of rampant Islamism in the country.
Michael D. Higgins, the President of Ireland, appears to have linked a recent mass shooting in Nigeria to the effects of climate change in the region.
At least 50 Catholics were massacred last Sunday after gunmen reportedly opened fired on worshippers celebrating Pentecost mass at St Francis Catholic Church, located in the town of Owo.
It remains unknown who exactly is responsible for the massacre, though contextually it appears likely that the gunmen are Muslim jihadists.
However, in a statement published on the massacre on Tuesday, Higgins appeared to link the mass killing to climate change in the region, dedicating three of the four paragraphs of his written statement to talking about the issue.
Meanwhile, the issue of radical Islamic terrorism was not mentioned by the president once, despite the likes of ISIS-linked Boko Haram being extremely active in Nigeria.
“That such an attack was made in a place of worship is a source of particular condemnation, as is any attempt to scapegoat pastoral peoples who are among the foremost victims of the consequences of climate change,” the statement published on the official website of the President of Ireland read.
“The neglect of food security issues in Africa, for so long has brought us to a point of crisis that is now having internal and regional effects based on struggles, ways of life themselves,” it continued.
“The solidarity of us all, as peoples of the world, is owed to all those impacted not only by this horrible event but in the struggle by the most vulnerable on whom the consequences of climate change have been inflicted,” it concluded.

Facebook and Instagram have been hit with lawsuits claiming their programs are addictive, especially to young persons, and cause psychological and emotional harm that can last a lifetime. It’s about time. The effects of continuous reinforcement on social media acts to trigger the release of dopamine in the brain, in similar fashion to hard drugs.
Bloomberg reports that victims are fighting back by filing lawsuits in Federal courts:
Eight complaints filed in courthouses across the US over the last week allege that excessive exposure to platforms including Facebook and Instagram has led to attempted or actual suicides, eating disorders and sleeplessness, among other issues.
“These applications could have been designed to minimize potential harm, but instead, a decision was made to aggressively addict adolescents in the name of corporate profits,” attorney Andy Birchfield, a principal at Beasley Allen, the law firm that drafted the suits, said in a statement Wednesday.
The complaints add to a spurt of recent cases against Meta and Snap Inc., including some filed by parents whose children took their own lives. The litigation follows a former Facebook employee’s high-profile testimony in Congress that the company refused to take responsibility for harming the mental health of its youngest users.
One victim who is now 22, Naomi Charles, claims her young life was virtually destroyed and almost led to her taking her own life.
Meta “misrepresented the safety, utility, and non-addictive properties of their products,” according to the complaint in Miami federal court.

The claims in the suits include defective design, failure to warn, fraud and negligence. The complaints were filed in federal courts in Texas, Tennessee, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois and Missouri.

Syrian Pro-Government Forces In Al-Suwayda Neutralized US-Affiliated Faction & Killed Its Leader
Syrian pro-government forces in the governorate of al-Suwayda have neutralized an armed faction that worked with the US-led coalition.
On June 8, pro-government forces, with alleged support from the General Intelligence Directorate (GID), launched a special operation to neutralize the faction, known as the Counter Terrorism Force (CTU).
The CTU was established in July of last year by Samir al-Hakim, supposedly to counter terrorists and drug traffickers in al-Suwayda. The faction also established a political wing called the Al Liwa Party. Syrian journalist Malik Abu Khair, who is based in France, was reportedly the mastermind behind the faction.
The armed faction, who presented itself as a pro-democratic force, bragged about coordinating and cooperating with US-led coalition forces in the nearby al-Tanf garrison. With alleged support from the coalition, the faction recruited hundreds of local militants, set up a headquarters and training camps in the town of Khazme in the southeastern countryside of al-Suwayda and began conducting operations against what he claimed to be terrorists and drug traffickers working with Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
Over the past year, the CTU abducted, tortured and in at least one case killed civilians. Very recently, the faction announced that it had handed over a local man he accused of cooperating with Hezbollah to US-led coalition forces in al-Tanf.

A Republican lawmaker in Missouri has introduced a bill targeting drag queen story hour events at public libraries that would set up parental review boards to approve events and penalize librarians with potential fines and jail time for violations.
State Rep. Ben Baker’s Parental Oversight of Public Libraries Act would require all Missouri public libraries to establish parental review boards, with members elected by voters, that would approve library display material and events.
Baker said Thursday the proposed bill is not aimed at censoring books but is a response to drag queen story hours that have been held at libraries in some of the state’s larger cities, including St. Louis, Kansas City and St. Joseph. READ MORE
Gay City Councilman Calls Police on His Mother After She Meets to Discuss Drag Queen Story Hour With Him
For months, parents and citizens in Chula Vista, CA, a suburb of San Diego, have insisted that their City Council take action to stop any more “Drag Queen Story Hour” events from targeting children in the public library. On September 10, 2019, the Chula Vista library held a particularly hideous and perverted “Drag Queen Story Hour” event.
These two men were reading to children in the Chula Vista “Drag Queen” library event.
Since then a large number of parents have testified at City Council meetings and have leafletted the town. They want the City Council to keep these kinds of things from happening in the public library. But the 5-member Council arrogantly refuses to even bring it up for discussion.
Instead, City Councilor Stephen Padilla, an out “gay,” has waged a campaign against the parents. He has insulted them during Council meetings. He calls them haters and religious fanatics. He even led a repulsive anti-Christian “counter-protest” against parents who protested outside the library. House Delays Judicial Protection Bill in order to Expand Coverage of Personal Security Details to Staffers, Aides, Receptionists, Chauffers’ and DC Employees
If you know the way Washington DC thinks, specifically thinks about their own scale of importance amid a world filled with lesser people who do not understand the value of their elite place in the construction of government, then you could easily predict what is happening right now.
A previous senate bill that would have afforded security details to Supreme Court Justices, is now stalled in the House of Representatives as Nancy Pelosi and top Democrat politicians add an additional set of people who should gain the full benefit of taxpayer funded security details.
Democrats in the House are using the opportunity provided by bipartisan agreement to enhance the personal security services for the Judicial Branch, in order to assign the same privileges to staff, aides and people who work within the administration of government. DC is nothing if not predictable in their elitist view of their self-importance.
At the same time as Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, along with some insufferable republicans who pretend not to know how these issues are always manipulated to the benefit of the administrative state, are urgently constructing limits and restrictions to disarm lawful Americans; they are simultaneously building their own system of personal protective services to insure they never have to face the same physical risks they initiate upon everyone else.

The bill’s purpose was brought into sharp focus early Wednesday when an armed man was arrested near Kavanaugh’s Maryland home after making threats against the justice, according to a court spokesperson. The man told law enforcement he had traveled from California to kill “a specific United States Supreme Court Justice,” according to an FBI affidavit filed Wednesday.

Mexican truck driver indicted for attempting to import $18M in methamphetamines, following HSI, federal partner investigation
LAREDO, Texas – A Mexican citizen was charged for attempting to import more than 400 kilograms of methamphetamine, following an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) with the assistance of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), June 1.
A federal grand jury returned a two-count indictment against Luis Alberto Garza Cisneros, 33. According to court documents, the complaint alleges that on May 6, Cisneros attempted to enter the country through the World Trade Bridge Port of Entry while driving a tractor trailer. CBP officers referred the vehicle to secondary inspection, at which time an x-ray allegedly revealed anomalies. Officers conducted a search and allegedly discovered approximately 413.98 kilograms of meth in 24 five-gallon buckets inside of the tractor’s diesel tanks, according to the charges. The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $18 million.
If convicted, Cisneros faces up to life in prison and a possible $10 million maximum fine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian Bajew, Southern District of Texas, is prosecuting the case.
An indictment is a formal accusation of criminal conduct, not evidence. A defendant is presumed innocent unless convicted through due process of law.

Globalist elites beg for ‘trust’ despite an ‘unending stream’ of COVID lies and ‘massive’ censorship
Despite enormous evidence to the contrary and in a bid for totalitarian power, globalist health leaders declare the COVID crisis ‘anything but over’ while ignoring sharp challenges from thousands of competent professionals.
In a May 17 press conference some have called Orwellian, representatives from globalist institutions insisted that the COVID crisis is “anything but over,” demanded higher levels of “risk management” compliance from every nation, a “seamless” implementation of globalist decisions in health systems, and even more censorship of “conspiracy theories” from Big Tech corporations.
The occasion was a document release from the International Science Council (ISC) titled “Unprecedented and Unfinished: COVID–19 and Implications for National and Global Policy.”
The organization’s president, Dr. Peter Gluckman, explained the purpose of the project was to contest the notion that experimental gene-based vaccines in some way would end the COVID crisis allowing nations to “return to some form of normality.” But this “clearly was not going to be the case,” he exclaimed.
Gluckman, who formerly served as Chief Science Advisor to the prime minister of his home nation of New Zealand, lamented the lack of trust afforded to “elites” from citizens with regards to the imposition of COVID response measures over the last two years, including lockdowns, school closures, mask requirements and gene-based “vaccine” mandates as even a condition of employment.
Without defining the term, or providing any examples, he expressed a special concern over the dissemination of “conspiracy theories” during the COVID phenomenon and how such matters were especially problematic in democratic nations.
“I think one of the deep existential threats for all countries, but particularly for democratic countries, is how is trust sustained between citizens and the elite parts of society,” he said.
“The first defense against conspiracy theories is undoubtedly trust in societies. And trust in societies is a hard thing to build. It requires trust to be built between those who govern and those who are governed,” said the trained pediatrician.
And making a hard distinction between citizens and “elites,” he said, “and I think where we saw vaccine resistance is often related to the fact there was not trust in the elite, even political, scientific, or academic, but it was then reinforced or the excuse that was given was those of conspiracy.”
One question advanced by a journalist was whether or not it would be helpful to have a global “register of conspiracies,” at which Gluckman balked.

DHS to go after 'conspiracy' forums in terror threat bulletin
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a terror threat bulletin Tuesday warning that online forums harboring domestic violent extremist content and conspiracy theories have encouraged copycat attacks in the wake of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Analysts from DHS’ Office of Intelligence & Analysis assess that these online platforms have also “seized on the event to attempt to spread disinformation and incite grievances, including claims it was a government-staged event meant to advance gun control measures.”
As analysts probe recent tragedies in search of common factors or motives, researchers have uncovered a disturbing trend among gunmen of fatal mass shootings, nationwide.

Uproar over new points-based system for welfare recipients
Alarm bells are ringing about a new Centrelink system that has been called “the Hunger Games crossed with Black Mirror”.
An impending change to Centrelink has been described as “the Hunger Games crossed with Black Mirror”, with welfare recipients concerned about the potential ramifications it could have.
From July 1 the process of mutual obligations, tasks, activities, job interviews and searches a person had to complete to receive their welfare payments will be removed and replaced with the points-based activation system (PBAS).
While many are happy to see the end of the tedious mutual obligations system, there are concerns the PBAS could bring a whole new set of problems for Centrelink users.
To keep receiving their payments, welfare recipients must receive 100 points and do a minimum of five job searches each month.
There is a list of more than 30 tasks and activities that each carry their own individual points value.
But queries have been raised over the varied points value for different tasks and how it could leave some people struggling to reach the required total.
Programs like PaTH Internship, the National Work Experience Program and Launch into Work earn 25 points per week, enough to reach the 100 total.
But other activities like full-time Work for the Dole, the Adult Migrant English Program and Skills for Education and Employment are worth 20 points a week, meaning those involved need to take on extra tasks to make up the remaining 20 points.
Other activities include five points for every five hours of paid work, 20 points for attending a job interview and 10 points for being a part of the Defence Force Reserves (on a minimum of one weekend per month).
Relocating for a job is the only task that offers the full 100 points in one go.
If an individual has additional points left over after hitting their monthly 100 total, they can be banked for next month for up to half (50) of their points target.
Welfare recipients have been warned they could have their payments suspended and receive a demerit if their points target or minimum job searches are not met.
