My grammas were both widowed, but they had their children and grandchildren, so it's a different lifepath to the modern wine aunt. The grass is always greener, but feminism required ALL women to forego their most natural urges, on the myth that solitude brings strength, and that becoming the CEO of one's own marvellous ethical company was absolutely within reach for ordinary people.
