Violent Vic teens to be tracked with GPS

Violent Victorian teenagers could be electronically tracked after serving time in custody.

The Andrews Labor Government announced on Wednesday if youths aged 16 and 17 "pose a risk upon release", then the youth parole board will be allowed to subject them to GPS tracking as well as drug and alcohol testing.

The laws will have to pass parliament before they can come into force.
