Democrat-led House panel: COVID biz loan program had estimated $80 billion fraud, lacked safeguards

Clyburn explains that Us has failed to prevent fraud for Covid-19 relief funds.

The federal government failed to take basic precautions to prevent fraud in a federal program to help small businesses during the pandemic, resulting in the loss of potentially billions of dollars while putting applicants at risk for identity theft, a House subcommittee said Tuesday.

The committee leader, Democratic Rep. James Clyburn, blamed the Trump administration for the problems in Economic Injury Disaster Loan program, which is overseen by the Small Business Administration, according to the Associated Press.

The Mississippi lawmaker said as much as 20% of the money – or tens of billions of dollars – may have been awarded to fraudulent applicants.

The government’s Pandemic Response Accountability Committee says inspectors general for federal agencies have at least 1,150 ongoing investigations into fraud from different aid funds, also according to the wire service.

Out of the $400 billion in funds the EIDL program grants, an estimated $80 billion was received fraudulently, The SBA’s Office of the Inspector General stated.

Clyburn said the Biden administration has now put safeguards in place.

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise defends the Trump administration, saying it did all it could to prevent the economy from crashing. The Louisiana Republican also said the former administration needed to provide relief as fast as possible to save jobs from being lost.

Many of the fake applications had red flag warnings including international addresses and improper phone numbers, but most were still approved, said the subcommittee staff, the wire service also reports.

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink Blames Nationalism And Immigration Restrictions For Inflation

The rise of nationalism and immigration restrictions are to blame for inflation, not the Federal Reserve printing trillions of dollars, according to BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.

Fink, who manages some $10 trillion in assets, told Bloomberg earlier this month that he believes inflation is "not Fed related."

"I would say, 10 years ago, the rise– whether you call it nationalism or the rise of this belief that we have to focus on communities that have been devastated by globalization, we need to find ways of creating better jobs for more Americans, that in itself is inflationary," Fink said.

"When you move away from the cheapest price ever to another area and so that's a fundamental change," he continued. "We change your immigration policies and I'm talking about legal immigration okay our legal immigration, that was changed about five years ago where we've reduced the amount of legal immigration."

"If you look at the rate of increase of immigrants, legal immigrants in the United States from 2000 to 2017 and the rate that we are growing immigration in the last five years we're down 2 million, 2 million new entrants to the United States legally. That is very inflationary when we have full employment when we have these jobs think about all the need for workers," Fink said.

BlackRock has been contributing to inflation by driving up home prices though buying up single family homes and turning them into rentals.

Fink has also been at the forefront of the "Woke Capital" movement by using the trillions he manages as a cudgel to force public companies to advance globo-homo policies.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin partnered with Fink during the covid economic meltdown to "rescue" key businesses with political clout.

As markets were falling, "America's top economic officials were in near-constant contact with a Wall Street executive whose firm stood to benefit financially from the rescue," the New York Times reported last year.

It's no surprise Fink is defending this corrupt system – he's in charge of it.

TRANSHUMANISM: Former Govt Advisor Claims ‘1 in 5’ Babies Will Be ‘Virtual’ By 2075.

“Virtual children” are being proposed as a viable solution to overpopulation, according to a leading authority on artificial intelligence and a former United Kingdom government advisor.

Computer-generated babies that cost about $25 per month are likely to become a common phenomenon by the early-2070s argues Catriona Campbell, who advised the British government on the first drafting of its Usability & Accessibility standards. She claims up to one-in-five parents will opt for a digital baby.

“Make no mistake that this development, should it indeed take place, is a technological game-changer which, if managed correctly, could help us solve some of today’s most pressing issues, including overpopulation,” explains Campbell.

“I guest-lecture at various European institutions and have spoken at some of the world’s biggest conferences, Microsoft Global Congress and Media Festival to name but two,” she adds in her professional bio, which also reveals her work with companies including Barclays, Skype, and Nokia.

Campbell expects that by 2070 augmented reality (AR) and haptic “touch-sensitive” gloves will make interactions with virtual babies feel “lifelike.”

She makes the predictions in her new book, AI by Design: A Plan For Living With Artificial Intelligence, where she outlines a potential “Netflix-type subscription service for as little as $25 per month” to allow people to raise virtual babies.

“Virtual children may seem like a giant leap from where we are now, but within 50 years technology will have advanced to such an extent that babies which exist in the metaverse are indistinct from those in the real world,” she said in a statement to the South West News Service (SWNS). “As the metaverse evolves, I can see virtual children becoming an accepted and fully embraced part of society in much of the developed world.

“This will lead to the first, fully digital demographic which, although somewhat strange on first appearance, in fact represents what could be one of mankind’s most important technological breakthroughs since the advent of the Bronze Age given its potential impact on global populations and societal change.”

Artificial intelligence has also been used to identify political dissidents in China, with many in the west fearing the potential for broad misuse of the program.

House Passes Bill Ramping Up Supreme Court Security After Month of Delay

The House of Representatives on June 14 approved a bill that extends security to family members of Supreme Court justices after Democrats failed to get a provision they wanted into the legislation.

The House voted 396-27. to pass the Supreme Court Police Parity Act.

All no votes came from Democrats.

Five members did not vote.

The Senate passed the bill unanimously in May, shortly after the unprecedented leak of a draft decision that indicated the nation’s top court was preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade.

But top Democrats in the House delayed a vote because they wanted a change.

The bill grants the Supreme Court Police and the court’s marshal the ability to order protection for the families of Supreme Court justices or officers if such protection is deemed necessary. According to Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas), the bill’s sponsors, it will enable “around-the-clock” protection for the family members.

House Democrats wanted to extend the protection to family members of clerks, which Republicans opposed.

“Supreme Court justices already have protection. This is about families of Supreme Court justices, and Democrats were fighting for families of law clerks, employees of Supreme Court. They should have protection, too,” Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) said before the vote on the House floor in Washington.

He noted that the names of several clerks were widely circulated after the leak with suggestions that they were the ones behind the leak, and that one viral social media post also mentioned one of the clerks’ spouses.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said last week that “no one is in danger” due to the delay in passing the bill, drawing criticism from Republicans.

Some Democrats in Washington described the bill as meaningless because Attorney General Merrick Garland already ordered around-the-clock security for the homes of the justices for an undetermined amount of time.

“It took House Democrats some time to get this bill to the floor. The reason it took that much time is, it was House Democrats that wanted to get one itty bitty one concession out of this bill, to protect the staff of that institution—the United States Supreme Court—but they refused,” Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) said. The bill “is a talking point” that doesn’t “really do anything,” she added.

“This is All About Money”, “You Will Burn in Hell for Eternity” — Speakers Lambasted FDA Advisers During Advisory Committee Hearing

On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration met with its Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) to discuss Moderna’s EUA request for a COVID-19 vaccine for children 6 through 17 years of age.

The same expert panel will meet again on Wednesday to discuss shots from Moderna and Pfizer for the kids under 5.

According to the CDC data, the incidence of heart inflammation was 4.41 excess per 100,000 who received the Pfizer/BioNTech for males aged 18-39 versus 6.27 excess cases per 100,000 for Moderna, Reuters reported.

The overall incidence is relatively rare and the vast majority who suffer the side effect fully recover, but a comparison showed the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis in young males aged 18-39 was 1.1 to 1.5 times higher after the Moderna shot, the FDA said in its presentation, citing data from three U.S. vaccine safety databases.

Some countries in Europe have limited use of Moderna’s vaccine for younger age groups after surveillance suggested it was tied to a higher risk of heart inflammation, and the FDA delayed its review of the Moderna shot to assess the myocarditis risk.

An FDA official claimed that the findings on myocarditis and pericarditis linked to both the mRNA shots “were not consistent across all of the U.S. vaccine safety monitoring systems.”

The FDA called on speakers about their views on authorizing the Moderna vaccine for children ages 6 to 17. Some of the invited speakers were not in favor of the vaccine due to its life-threatening risks that completely ruined their lives.

Carolina Bourque, is a 43-year-old researcher, biologist, and a mother. Mrs. Bourque shared her personal nightmare after receiving the Moderna vaccine.

I lived a normal, active life and happy life. I work full time, took care of my family, my farm, rescue dogs, and enjoy multiple physical activities. I took my first Moderna injection early in March 2021. I took the injection because I believe it was needed to protect myself, my family, and others in my community. I believed it was safe, effective, and the right thing to do.

After my first injection, I had an anaphylactic reaction, rash, tachycardia, dizziness, shortness of breath, intense gastro pains that lasted months. My doctors ignored my reactions from the first injection and unbelievably recommended a second shot. They said it was needed to be safe.

I took the second Moderna injection in June of 2021. I got busy right away. Two days after the injection, I could not get out of bed for a couple of days. My right leg and my arms were weak.

Pentagon updates US goals in Ukraine

The conflict should cost Russia more than it hopes to achieve, a top policy official says

The US is seeking to make the conflict in Ukraine more costly for Moscow than whatever Russian President Vladimir Putin hoped to achieve, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl said on Tuesday. Kahl insisted that Russia was making only “tactical” gains in Ukraine and would be unable to achieve its “grandiose objectives” of taking over the entire country, in part thanks to massive US military aid.

“We’ll continue to provide Ukraine what they need for the fight,” Kahl said on Tuesday, opening a conference organized by the Center for New American Security (CNAS), a Democrat-linked think tank where he used to work.

The Biden administration alone has provided Ukraine with over $5.3 billion in military assistance, of which $4.6 billion has come since February 24, Kahl pointed out.

The US goal is “to make sure that Ukraine can defend itself, that a sovereign independent democratic Ukraine endures, that we give Ukraine the capability to strengthen their position at the bargaining table,” Kahl explained, and to “impose a cost on Russia in excess to whatever benefits Vladimir Putin hopes to achieve through this conflict.”

“Our goal was not regime change in Russia,” Kahl told the CNAS conference. President Joe Biden famously said otherwise in late March. His aides quickly backtracked, saying there was no change in US policy and that Biden was simply being “emotional.” The US president echoed that explanation after returning from Poland, but insisted he was not walking anything back.

According to Kahl, Putin “went into this war seeking to gobble Ukraine up. I think he had in his mind envisioned some kind of a thunder run to Kiev to change the regime,” only for the Russian military to be “badly defeated in battle” and thrown back from the Ukrainian capital.

The Pentagon official accused Putin of having “imperial ambitions” and “seeking to reclaim territory that he believes belonged to a glorious past of the Russian Empire.” With Ukrainian troops being “stalwart defenders” and “holding tough,” Kahl said he did not think the Russians would “have the capacity to achieve those grandiose objectives.”

While Russian troops have been making gains in Ukraine, they are “really on any given day measured in blocks” and are “not large, sweeping breakthroughs of Ukrainian defenses,” Kahl insisted. Both Ukrainians and Russians are taking casualties and “the front lines are not moving very much.”
