Throughout the pandemic, many immigrants travelled to Canada from countries without vaccine programs and sought employment through a temporary staffing agency while Canadians were banned from travel and lost their jobs over vaccine mandates.

The anonymous guest in this interview is a former temporary employment agency manager from Calgary, Alberta.

In voicing concerns over what she coins as a “3-tiered citizenry,” the former manager points out that “we have our naturalized Canadians who are vaccinated, naturalized Canadians who are not vaccinated, and then we have an immigrant population, and there seems to be different rules for each of those groups with different restrictions for each of those groups. That inequality based on medical status, or country of origin, or time in the country, needs to be addressed.”

We discuss the fact that the staffing agency is not allowed to ask for private or confidential medical records of those seeking employment services. “We’re very limited in what we can ask for: work history and payroll information, but we are not allowed to ask anything that would fall under a discriminatory category. [That includes] race, gender, sexual identity, medical questions, any physical or mental disability. We cannot ask any of those [things] because it's considered to be a human rights violation.”

The former manager continued, “it would be considered a human rights violation to ask anything about medical capacity or medical status.”

In discussing how the government could alter its response to be more balanced, she reinforced that “a lot of the medical mandates that were put in place by provincial and federal governments were misaligned with the human rights legislation that is in effect in Canada…. Any of our federal employees who lost their job based on not being vaccinated or not disclosing, I feel that they have a court case.”

Canada might be first country to slap a warning label on ground beef

Health Canada has decided to go after ground beef and is proposing mandatory front-of-package warning labels for the product, leaving many ranchers and beef organizations puzzled and enraged.

Health Canada is denying that the mandatory front-of-package nutrition label is an outright warning label, saying that it’s meant to alert Canadians to the risk of products that are high in sodium, sugar, and saturated fat. You know, sort of like a warning label…

However, many foods, specifically whole foods like raw cuts of meat, will be exempt. Curiously, ground beef will not be exempt, apparently due to its high saturated fat content.

As CEO of the Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association, Ryder Lee notes, “This would make Canada the only country in the world where a single ingredient product had this warning. It makes it make less and less sense, and we think the government and minister of health should reconsider.”

Moreover, according to Dalhousie University professor Sylvain Charlebois, approximately 50 per cent of Canadians’ beef consumption comes in ground form.

He adds that ground beef is one of the more affordable protein options — relevant given Canada’s rampant inflation — and that it should be exempt from the new labelling mandate.

“When you think about protein affordability, you’re basically discouraging Canadians from eating these products that are still relatively affordable compared to other cuts. You have to wonder whether or not it’s the right time to do this,” said Charlebois.

In Alberta, the United Conservative Party has come out against the proposed labels, too, calling Health Canada’s rationale “baseless.”

“While we can all support the federal Healthy Eating Strategy in principle, Ottawa’s scientifically baseless labelling proposal for ground meat will unfairly impact families struggling with the high cost of living and add an extra burden to producers struggling to get back on their feet,” said Alberta Agriculture Minister Nate Horner.

Only days after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tested positive for COVID-19 after a visit to the US, Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci has said that he too has the Wuhan Flu.

The 81-year-old who is fully vaccinated and twice-boosted against the virus is being treated with Paxlovid for mild symptoms.

“Today, Anthony S. Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, and Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden, tested positive for COVID-19 on a rapid antigen test. He is fully vaccinated and has been boosted twice,” wrote the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

“He is currently experiencing mild symptoms. Dr. Fauci will isolate and continue to work from his home. He has not recently been in close contact with President Biden or other senior government officials.”

On Monday, Trudeau conveniently announced he had contracted COVID a third time despite being fully vaccinated himself prior to his government announcing an end to travel vaccine mandates.

Fauci, who has been a crusader for extreme lockdowns, recently admitted that the government response to the pandemic was a coercive tactic.

“You use lockdowns to get people vaccinated so that when you open up, you won’t have a surge of infections because you’re dealing with an immunologically naïve population to the virus because they’ve not really been exposed because of the lockdown,” said Fauci.

As recently as March 30th, Fauci has been calling for a return to a rigid restrictions regime in the US, citing hypothetical variants.

“We need to be prepared for the possibility that we would have another variant that would come along, and then things change,” said Fauci.

“And if we do get a variance that does give us an uptick in cases and hospitalization, we should be prepared and flexible enough to pivot towards going back – at least temporarily – to a more rigid type of restrictions, such as requiring masks indoors.”

Trans rights group wants to lower age for irreversible surgeries

A trans rights group will lower their recommended age for when youth should have access to irreversible medical treatments for their gender dysphoria — including surgeries for 15-year-olds.

According to The Associated Press, The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) will formally provide these updates in a medical journal later this year.

These updates allegedly include lowering the age for puberty blockers from 16 to 14 years old and allowing surgeries (sex-change operations, breast removal, etc.) on teenagers who are 15 years old.

The guidelines come with advice for strong psychological evaluation, but critics claim that, in reality, patients can be approved for surgery within minutes.

“They tell me horror stories. They tell me, ‘Our child had 20 minutes with the doctor’” before being offered hormones,” says psychologist Erica Anderson. “The parents leave with their hair on fire.”

But others believe that lowering the age will reduce suicides — even though the evidence on this remains unclear.

In fact, studies exist that suggest the opposite is true: that suicide is more likely (post-operation) for trans people.

And so, the debate goes on.

In other trans news, last month, the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh released a documentary titled What is a Woman, wherein he interviews various individuals and groups to try and find the answer.

In the documentary, Walsh interviews a Canadian father who details his run-in with the Canadian legal system for referring to his biological teenage daughter with female pronouns.

The father was jailed for using ‘she/her’ pronouns when referring to his daughter.

Moreover, as the consequences of trans-related surgeries and procedures become more prevalent, horror stories from de-transitioned individuals continue to mount.

For example, in a viral thread on Twitter last week, a reportedly de-transitioned individual documented the devastating process he went through.

Cases like this are becoming more common, as are women’s rights groups looking to provide a non-circular definition of “woman.”
