Arabella Kushner Sings In Chinese
Jasmine Flower - What do flowers represent?
In the video, Arabella sings and recites poetry in Mandarin, which she reportedly has been learning since she was an infant.
According to the Washington Post, she sang a children's song about "sweeping rice fields, a jade-green river and a lake studded with lotus flowers, stocked with fat, golden carp and with flocks of ducks hiding in the reeds."
She also recited the Three Characters Classic, an ancient text used to teach children the key values of Confucianism, as well as two other poems and another song.”
Man on earth, Good at birth.
The same nature, Varies on nurture.
With no education, There'd be aberration.
To teach well, You deeply dwell.
The Mencius' mother, Chose her neighbor.
At Mencius sloth, She cut the cloth.
Dough by name
Fulfilled his aim.
His five sons
Became famous ones.
What's a father?
A good teacher.
What's a teacher?
A strict preacher.
Dough by name

What's a father?
A good teacher.
What's a teacher?
A strict preacher.
An unschooled child
A young loafer,
An old loser!
No jade crude,
Shows craft good.
Unless you learn,
Crude you'll turn.
Sunlight streaming on Incense
Stone kindles a violet smoke,
Far off I watch the waterfall
plunge to the long river,
Flying waters descending
straight three thousand feet,
Till I think the Milky Way has tumbled
from the ninth height of Heaven
At dawn I left the walled city of White King,
Towering among the many-coloured clouds;
And came down stream in a day
One thousand li to Jiangling
The screams of monkeys on either bank
Had scarcely ceased echoing in my ear
When my skiff had left behind it
Ten thousand ranges of hills
My good mom
Comes home after work
You must be tired after a full day's work
Please sit down and rest
Please sit down and rest
Drink a cup of tea
Let me give you a kiss
Let me give you a kiss
My good mom
My good mom
