communism is really understood to be more about nations than small village sized groups.

but that aside.. amish aren't communist dip, they own their possessions individually, can get ahead of eachother or fall behind, practice charity, church doesn't micromanage their trade, they have businesses that compete with each other, and they pay US taxes.

Yeah I agree Russia and CCP are not academic examples of true communism..

But in todays vocabulary, there's also a practical definition for communism, practical as in "in practice".. so the CCP and Russia could be viewed as communism in practice since academic communism could probably only be achieved by some kind of fungus or robots. anyway i generally agree with that, but

the Amish are simply not communists of any sort or closer to it.. they're amish, which comes with all sorts of codes, but within those codes, trade is free.

If the TV is free like voting, i'd buy one whenever I felt like watching TV. Its not hard.. and the thief would have to continue being a thief I guess.. if when I don't go get my free TV he would get a TV without stealing..

If I have to lift a finger and it makes the thief have to bend over backwards, i'm doing it every chance.
