CA has a stupid fucking rule now where only the top 2 vote recipients in the primary (regardless of party) go on to compete in the general. With 27 different people running (including 12 Dems and 4 Repubs), we could have easily wound up with 2 D's on the ballot in Nov. Fortunately, people listened to POTUS and voted Cox, so it would appear he made the general.
