tmz is like the last the investigative journalism that exists among mainstream news.

they will hunt down stories (Nancy Pelosi's drunk driving husband, the most recent example of this) while the rest of media waits for a spokesperson to spoonfed them a story.

Not only does tmz hunt down stories, but their track record of being correct is also just as good as wikileaks.

tmz is spot on.

>While most of Miranda’s articles did not concern news of major national or international significance (headlines included ‘Friends are also family’: How the unofficial holiday Friendsgiving has grown, and McDonald’s employee leaps out of drive-thru window to save woman choking on a chicken nugget), several of her pieces took a left-wing angle on major political issues, including COVID-19 treatments and Texas’ pro-life Heartbeat law.

>In a September 2021 article headlined: “Texas abortion ban could lead to stockpiling contraceptives and pregnancy tests,” Miranda quoted several individuals, including an alleged “sex worker” who reportedly began stockpiling contraceptives for Texas women after the enactment of the Texas Heartbeat Act, which bans abortions after six weeks’ gestation.

I noticed this yesterday.

There were no dead children, raging diseases, economic collapse, and despotic republicans, or any of the other usual fear porn trending in the news.

The biggest story was the French Elections,

It felt weird.

Their governent doesn't work like our government. The president can pretty much do whatever he likes without input or consent from the legislative.

The thing this story exposes is the need for an electoral college like system. When one counts all the votes in the same pot regardless of region, a leftist like Macron wins the majority vote. When one counts the vote and weights them by region, nationalist candidates come out on top. Metropolises have too much power in a sum total tally of votes.
