Six people were killed when a vintage helicopter crashed at an event for historical aircraft enthusiasts in West Virginia on Wednesday.
The aircraft that went down was a Bell UH-1B helicopter - commonly known as a 'Huey' - and that was manufactured in 1962 and flown in the Vietnam War.
The very same helicopter also appeared in numerous movies and shows - including Die Hard and Baywatch - according to the owner's website.
The helicopter crashed into the road on Route 17 in Logan County and burst into flames but the cause has not been established. It is thought five passengers and the captain were killed.
Witness Bobbi Childs described trying to save one person who was 'trapped' behind a door.
Childs told 13News: 'You could see him plain as day. I tried to get to him, but the fire was too hot. I couldn’t get to him.'
Ray Bryant, the chief of operations for Logan Emergency Management said the helicopter was on fire when crews arrived, and firefighters extinguished the flames.
He said he had seen 'no crashes of this magnitude,' in his 35 years working for Logan County Emergency Management.
Authorities don't yet know what cause the crash, according to The New York Times, and noted that the weather was clear at the time.
The event, billed as The 7th Annual Huey Reunion, was run by MARPAT Aviation.
The event website read that for the price of $250 per seat, people with no flying experience could pilot a helicopter with the tail number N98F.
'Take the right seat and YOU can fly N98F!' it read, 'You DO NOT need to be a pilot to make a reservation to fly!'
Bryant confirmed that the helicopter that crashed had the tail number N98F.
MARPAT Aviation's website read that helicopter N98F was 'quite probably the oldest Huey in the world.'
Authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims, but Bryant told WSAZ-TV they were not local residents.
The helicopter was based at the Logan airport and used for tourism flights, Bryant said.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
