“This country set a record for overdose deaths last year. In response to that, the Biden administration is not reversing its decision to distribute crack pipes to crack addicts, nor are they slowing the flow of fentanyl across the border coming from China through Mexico. No, they have a new drug war,” he said.
“Yesterday the FDA announced it’s planning to remove virtually all nicotine from cigarettes. So nicotine is not the thing that gives you cancer. It’s addictive, but it also increases mental acuity. But they’re taking that out. According to The Wall Street Journal, the agency will also ban Juul e-cigarettes.”
In sum, the agency is coming after nicotine — with the full backing of Democrats like the ones seen below, FYI — and this, according to Carlson, is no coincidence.
“Now what happens when you get off nicotine? Well, your testosterone levels plummet and you gain weight, both of which the administration is for because you become more passive and easier to control,” he concluded.
Carlson’s guest, radio show host Vince Coglianese, seemed to concur with this analysis but added that there’s a racial component to all this as well.
“They started with black Americans actually. They went after menthol first earlier this year. They said no more menthol — we’re taking it away,” he said.
Last month the administration announced new rules to ban the manufacture and sale of menthol cigarettes, a product that is extremely popular among blacks.
Now fast-forward to this week, when the administration announced that it intends to impose a cap on the amount of nicotine that can be packed into a cigarette, as well as ban the most popular disposable e-cigarette in America, Juul.
And again, the administration’s doing all this while passing out crack pipes and allowing the border to be overrun by drug smugglers.
“So they’re getting rid of all of those things. But at the same time, they’re sending out crack pipes using federal tax dollars. They have opened the borders and of course, stimulated the fentanyl crisis that’s killed over 100,000 Americans last year,” Coglianese noted.
“And the Biden administration would like to decriminalize pot, so they’ve removed the drugs that make you sharper, and they’re importing the drugs that kill you and make you duller,” he added.
Carlson responded by noting that nicotine “is one of the few remaining pleasures for ordinary people, particularly working-class men, and now they’re taking it away.”
“Do you see a connection there?” he then asked.
“The connection is, like, it’s always chaos from them, and it’s always driving us further into anarchical despair. I mean the idea that you would send out crack pipes but deprive people of nicotine, you have to dislike your country to do that,” Coglianese responded.
Indeed, said Carlson: “Yeah, how about no, you can’t take my guns, and you can’t take my nicotine. That’s a hard no on that. Sorry, I don’t care what the FDA says, it’s not going to happen.”
