“Nothing Changes Today” – Lawless NYC Mayor Eric Adams Promises to Ignore Supreme Court Ruling on Concealed Gun Laws

The Supreme Court released its ruling on Thursday against New York’s law that includes strict rules for concealed carry in the state. Prior to this ruling, the state could decide who it wanted to have this right and who it didn’t. The Gateway Pundit reported on this case moments ago:

New York requires its residents to obtain a license for lawful possession of a firearm, regardless of whether they plan to keep it at home or take it outside. To obtain a license, a licensing officer must determine whether the applicant is of good moral character, lacks a history of crime or mental illness, and that “no good cause exists for the denial of the license.”

Applicants must also have “proper cause” to lawfully conceal carry a handgun—openly carrying a handgun is entirely banned. New York law leaves “proper cause” undefined, but courts have clarified that this standard means one must “demonstrate a special need for self-protection distinguishable from that of the general community or of persons engaged in the same profession.”

Merely having the “generalized desire” to conceal carry, according to the courts, “does not constitute ‘proper cause.’”

The Supreme Court disagrees with New York law and just ruled on this case this morning.

The justices’ 6-3 decision is expected to ultimately allow more people to legally carry guns on the streets of the nation’s largest cities – including New York, Los Angeles and Boston – and elsewhere. About a quarter of the U.S. population lives in states expected to be affected by the ruling, the high court’s first major gun decision in more than a decade.

The ruling comes as Congress is actively working on gun legislation following recent mass shootings in Texas,New York and California.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote for the majority that the Constitution protects “an individual’s right to carry a handgun for self-defense outside the home.”

In their decision, the justices struck down a New York law requiring people to demonstrate a particular need for carrying a gun in order to get a license to carry one in public. The justices said the requirement violates the Second Amendment right to “keep and bear arms.”

US Airman Arrested Over Insider Attack On Base In Syria That Wounded Four Americans

An airman has been arrested by US military law enforcement in connection to the April 7 attack on the US-led coalition’s Green Village base in northeaster Syria.

The attack wounded at least four American service members. Initially, indirect fire was thought to be responsible for the attack. Sources affiliated with the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces blamed Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its allies in Syria. Nevertheless, the US-led coalition acknowledged around a week later that sabotage was behind the attack.

“As part of an ongoing investigation, on June 16, an Airman was taken into custody stateside in conjunction with the attack in Green Village, Syria. After reviewing the information in the investigation, the Airman’s commander made the decision to place him in pretrial confinement,” according to a statement provided to CNN on June 22 by Ann Stefanek, an Air Force spokesperson.

According to CNN, the investigation into the attack on the Green Village base is being carried out by the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

US military investigators believe that the attack was the result of deliberate placement of explosive charges by one or more individual at an ammunition holding area and a shower facility in the base.

The explosives used were described to CNN by two officials as “not insignificant” but as being of a “military grade”. The officials said the attack took place in the middle of the night and have uncovered security footage showing two instances of a figure moving quickly. They are also looking into whether sentries were posted at either location.

The officials say it’s not clear if the timing of the attack suggests the perpetrator was not trying to cause mass casualties or was looking to get away as quietly and quickly as possible.

The four service members wounded in the attack were diagnosed and treated for traumatic brain injuries. They all returned to duty later in April.

The US maintains some 900 troops in Syria, most of them are deployed in key gas and oil fields in the northeastern region. The Green Village base for example is located in the center of al-Omar oil fields. Despite of the threats facing American troops in Syria, Washington does not appear to be planning to withdraw from the country any time soon.

Cisco Wins Reversal Of $2.75 Billion Damages Award Because Judge's Wife Owned Stock

A U.S. appeals court on Thursday threw out a more than $2.75 billion award against Cisco Systems Inc, saying the trial judge should have disqualified himself after learning that his wife owned Cisco stock.

The 3-0 decision by the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals was also a defeat for Centripetal Networks Inc, a Virginia company that had sued Cisco for damages and royalties for allegedly copying five cybersecurity patents.

The trial judge, U.S. District Judge Henry Morgan in Norfolk, Virginia, found Cisco liable for patent infringement in October 2020, two months after learning that his wife owned 100 Cisco shares worth $4,688.

Morgan later put the shares in a blind trust, and told the parties that the shares "did not and could not have influenced" his handling of the case.

But the appeals court said a blind trust was not the same as selling the shares, and it didn't matter that San Jose, California-based Cisco had lost.

The court ordered the case reassigned to another judge, because letting Morgan stay on risked undermining public confidence in the judicial process.

"It is seriously inimical to the credibility of the judiciary for a judge to preside over a case in which he has a known financial interest in one of the parties and for courts to allow those rulings to stand," Circuit Judge Timothy Dyk wrote.

Centripetal's lawyers did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Cisco and one of its lawyers declined to comment.

Morgan had ruled for Herndon, Virginia-based Centripetal after a non-jury trial in May and June 2020.

Judicial independence attracted renewed attention last year after the Wall Street Journal said 131 federal judges violated federal law by hearing 685 lawsuits since 2010 involving companies where they or their families owned stock.

"The judiciary takes this matter seriously," U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in his 2021 year-end report. "We expect judges to adhere to the highest standards, and those judges violated an ethics rule."

Austria Drops COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate, Admits Causing Social Division.

The nation of Austria has suspended its controversial COVID-19 vaccine mandate, with government officials citing concerns about the policy infringing on individual freedoms.

Ministers for health and constitutional affairs announced the move on June 22nd, just six days before individuals who failed to comply with the policy would have begun receiving fines for their decision.

The measure was the most comprehensive mandate within the European Union, as it applied to all adults with virtually no exceptions. It had been in effect since February 5th, 2022, but enforcement formally began on March 15th, 2022z

“We will… suspend the vaccine mandate in accordance with the principle of proportionality,” constitutional affairs minister Karoline Edtstadler remarked during a news conference.

“Why? Because there are many convincing arguments at the moment that this infringement of fundamental rights is not justified.”

Edtstadler detailed how the Austrian government was acting on the recommendation of a panel of experts that must regularly review the public health and constitutional law aspects of the recently overturned mandate.

She and Health Minister Johannes Rauch, however, said the vaccine mandate could yet be reintroduced if necessary, with the next review due within three months.

Austria’s decision to scrap its COVID-19 vaccine mandate comes amidst controversy in the U.S. over President Joe Biden’s efforts to force the jab on federal workers. Many private companies have issued similar ultimatums to employees, despite a host of recent studies demonstrating the harmful side effects of the vaccine.

Studies have show the COVID-19 vaccine affects male and female reproductive organs while other research suggests the efficacy of the jab is far weaker than natural immunity.

Despite the fact that more research into the effects of the COVID-19 vaccine needs to be done, pharmaceutical giants including Pfizer and Moderna have increased their lobbying efforts to record-breaking highs in terms of personnel hired and overall money spent.

The White House is refusing to share details about its coordinated efforts to engage in a federal takeover of election administration.

President Biden really does not want the public to know about his federal takeover of election administration. Dozens of members of Congress have repeatedly asked for details, to no avail. Good government groups, members of the media, and private citizens have filed requests under the Freedom of Information Act. Not a single one has been responded to. All signs indicate a concerted effort to keep the public in the dark until at least after the November midterm elections. The lack of transparency and responsiveness is so bad that the Department of Justice and some of its agencies have been repeatedly sued for the information.

When President Biden ordered all 600 federal agencies to “expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process” on March 7, 2021, Republican politicians, Constitutional scholars, and election integrity specialists began to worry exactly what was up his sleeve.

They had good reason. The 2020 election had suffered from widespread and coordinated efforts by Democrat activists and donors to run “Get Out The Vote” operations from inside state and local government election offices, predominantly in the Democrat-leaning areas of swing states. Independent researchers have shown the effect of this takeover of government election offices was extremely partisan and favored Democrats overwhelmingly.

At the time the order was issued, Democrats were also hoping to pass H.R. 1, a continuation of the effort to destabilize elections throughout the country via a federalized takeover of state election administrations.

Biden gave each agency 200 days to file their plans for approval by none other than Susan Rice, his hyperpartisan domestic policy advisor. Yet fully nine months after those plans were due, they are all being hidden from the public, even as evidence is emerging that the election operation is in full swing.

Mobilizing Voters Is Always A Political Act

There are several major problems with Biden’s secret plan, critics say. It’s unethical to tie federal benefits to election activity. It’s unconstitutional to have the federal government take authority that belongs to the states and which Congress has not granted. And, given that all 50 states have different laws and processes governing election administration, it’s a recipe for chaos, confusion, and fraud at a time when election security concerns are particularly fraught.

Human traffickers luring Ukrainian refugees on the web targeted in EU-wide hackathon

14 EU Member States joined forces during a joint action day to identify human traffickers searching for Ukrainian victims online

On 23 May 2022, an EMPACT coordinated online joint action day targeted criminal networks grooming Ukrainian refugees for sexual and labour exploitation via websites and social media platforms. Law enforcement authorities from 14 EU Member States took part in this hackathon*, coordinated by the Netherlands. The investigators monitored different online platforms to detect criminal networks attempting to recruit vulnerable Ukrainian refugees.

The online investigations focused on the monitoring of posts offering help to refugees for transportation, accommodation and work. Dating sites and recruitment websites were monitored, as well as platforms offering sexual services. The countries bordering Ukraine focused on recruitment, transportation and accommodation of refugees, while others focused on platforms offering housing and jobs to refugees. During the action day, investigators identified suspicious advertisements targeting Ukrainian refugees, looked into tips received from citizens, reviewed indicators of potential trafficking of human beings for sexual and labour exploitation and updated their situational awareness on existing online platforms linked to trafficking activities.

125 online platforms monitored in total;

42 online platforms suspected for links to human trafficking checked;

6 online platforms linked to human trafficking checked;

9 suspected human traffickers identified;

9 possible victims identified;

15 new investigations initiated;

93 officers participated;

351 persons/user names checked.

The monitoring activities led to the identification of new trends, and gathered insights into the threat of sexual and labour exploitation of Ukrainian refugees. Suspicious activities were detected in a wide range of platforms, including in the Russian language. Different platforms were prioritised depending on the specific social media use per country.

Many online marketplaces and websites appear to be taking significant steps to combat the misuse of their platforms for trafficking Ukrainian refugees. However, law enforcement officers found a significant number of suspicious job offers targeting Ukrainian women, some of which described as ‘photo shoots’. Investigators identified attempts to lure victims through offers of a ‘bright future’, which tricked them into sexual exploitation, or accommodation offers specifically targeted at Ukrainian refugees.

This provided further investigative leads to the participating officers from involved national law enforcement authorities.

Alleged drug kingpin arrested in Hungary

“Major Carvalho” was wanted by Brazil on an INTERPOL Red Notice

A man considered to be one of the biggest international drug traffickers has been arrested in Hungary, thanks to cooperation via INTERPOL.

Wanted internationally by Brazil’s Federal Police since 2020, Sérgio Roberto De Carvalho, aged 64 and known as “Major Carvalho”, was the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice for drug trafficking, money laundering, document fraud and homicide, with strong links to organized crime.

INTERPOL’s Secretary General Jürgen Stock said, “This is another example of successful international policing. The INTERPOL National Central Bureaus in Brasilia and Budapest are to be commended for their close collaboration which has put a dangerous suspect in police custody.”

The case was conducted in cooperation with INTERPOL’s Fugitive Investigative Support unit, which facilitated information exchange across three continents, including details of possible travel documents and aliases used by the wanted fugitive.

Whistleblower Says With 120,000 Troops Still Unvaccinated, Army May Move June 30 Deadline Far Into Future

An active-duty senior Army official told The Defender, on condition of anonymity, the U.S. Army is strongly considering pushing the June 30 deadline for compliance with the military's COVID-19 vaccine mandate far into the future – but will not announce the date change until closer to, or even after, the upcoming deadline.

As the June 30 deadline nears for compliance with the U.S. military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, U.S. Army officials publicly claim a very small percentage of its members are unvaccinated, reporting 96% or more of its members are fully vaccinated.

However, the Army’s vaccination rate is in fact significantly lower than 96%, an active-duty senior Army official with access to senior-level information told The Defender — so low, that if the Army were to enforce the deadline, the loss of up to 120,000 service members would render it “combat-ineffective.”

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the Army is strongly considering pushing the June 30 deadline much further into the future — but will not announce the date change until closer to, or even after, the upcoming deadline.

Concern about the number of unvaccinated service members was the topic of recent senior-level briefings, according to the official.

He said he’s blowing the whistle now because many service members who remain unvaccinated and/or who are “on the fence” about getting the vaccine may feel compelled to do so to meet the June 30 deadline — unaware the deadline may soon change.

He said by going public with this information now, service members who have not yet been vaccinated but who are feeling increasing pressure to get the COVID-19 vaccine may reconsider.

Real numbers of unvaccinated Army members ‘higher than anybody thought’

As far back as December 2021, an article on the U.S. Army website stated 96% of the Army’s 461,209 members were fully vaccinated.

In March 2022, as the Army began to announce the initiation of separation procedures for unvaccinated soldiers, officials again claimed 96% of its service members were fully vaccinated.

Later that month, an article on the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) website claimed “the entire force may be vaccinated for COVID-19 by early summer.”

According to the whistleblower though, the “real numbers of unvaccinated service members are way higher than anybody thought,” adding that while “everyone thought” the number of unvaccinated in the Army was approximately 8,000-10,000 members, it is actually around 120,000.

Louisiana’s Democratic gov. signs pro-life law criminalizing mail-order abortion pills

Gov. Bel Edwards also signed a bill strengthening the state’s abortion ‘trigger’ ban.

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has signed bills that make mailing abortion pills a state crime and strengthen Louisiana’s existing “trigger” law that will ban nearly all abortions if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.

On Tuesday, Edwards signed Senate Bill 388, which will criminalize mail-ordered “abortion-inducing drug(s)” beginning August 1, as reported by the Daily Wire.

SB 388 will “prohibit criminal abortion by means of the use of an abortion inducing drug without the prescribing physician being physically present during the administration of the drug.”

The bill permits forms of emergency contraception, including abortifacients. Those who fail to comply with this law can face a $1,000 fine and a maximum of six months in prison. However, pregnant women will not be prosecuted under this law.

While Louisiana had previously required women to take abortion pills in a doctor’s office, it was not a criminal offense to mail abortion pills.

According to a Guttmacher Institute report, in 2020, abortion pills became the leading cause of abortion, causing 54% of abortions. In America, abortion pills have become increasingly available, despite serious health risks. During COVID-19 lockdowns, Planned Parenthood mailed abortion pills to women who could ingest them without any medical oversight.   

On Tuesday, Edwards also signed Senate Bill 342, increasing the punishments for the state’s trigger law, which will take effect if Roe v. Wade is overturned. This bill was promptly criticized by the pro-abortion Biden White House.

According to the provisions of SB 342, the three remaining abortion mills in the state would be required to close, and the state would ban abortions after “fertilization and implantation.”

The only exceptions allowed by the bill include ectopic pregnancies, or pregnancies in which fertilization takes place outside of the uterus, and pregnancies in which the infant could not survive postpartum. The bill further states that for a woman to get approval to have an abortion, she would need to get a diagnosis from two separate doctors.  

The bill also imposes a prison sentence of 15 years and up to $200,000 in fines for abortion providers. Abortion patients are excluded from prosecution and fines under the bill.

As the news of the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade has shocked America, many states have responded by passing a series of pro-life laws to protect defenseless unborn children.

Last month, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a new heartbeat law banning all abortions after around six weeks of pregnancy and another bill banning nearly all abortions from conception. 

Similarly, many Republican-led states, including Idaho and Florida, have enacted pro-life legislation in anticipation of the Court’s ruling.

Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA) on Wednesday evening played a recording of a man with a fake southern accent threatening to kill his three children over his relationship with Chinese spy Fang Fang.

Last summer it was reported the Intel Community had a classified report detailing Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell’s intimate relationship with Chinese spy and honeypot Fang Fang.

Fang Fang was a “bundler” for Eric Swalwell and other Democrat candidates but it was also reported the Chinese spy had an intimate relationship with Swalwell.

Despite this Chinese spy scandal, Swalwell remains on the House Intelligence Committee (thanks to Pelosi) and has access to some of the nation’s most highly classified information.

Instead of taking responsibility for compromising national security with his relationship with a Chinese spy, Swalwell blamed Marjorie Taylor Greene for the threatening phone call.

“Marjorie loves to play the victim. But she’s an inciter of violence. Her constant attacks — even after the FBI said I was never suspected of wrongdoing — lead to threatening calls like this. This caller from today threatened to kill my three children.” Swalwell said suggesting the caller is from MTG’s home state of Georgia.

Survivors say Catholic Church failed to inform them about paedophile priest Vincent Gerard Ryan's death

Abuse survivors have lashed out at the Catholic Church claiming they were not told about the death of a paedophile priest and only found out weeks after he died.

Vincent Gerard Ryan preyed on children in the NSW Hunter Valley for decades. He was jailed for more than 20 years for abusing 37 victims.

But when the 84-year-old died in April, there was no public announcement or pastoral notice.

Survivors also say there were no phone calls from counsellors linked to the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle's child protection unit.

Abuse survivor Scott Hallett said he was livid Ryan's death was only made public six weeks later.

"The Catholics keep denying and denying and denying, and as I said years ago, they are just waiting for all the old victims and survivors to die and say, 'Let's just sweep it under the rug," Mr Hallett said.

The faith and the fury

This week, Maitland-Newcastle's diocesan administrator Reverend Gregory Barker sent parishioners a pastoral letter, obtained by the ABC, expressing deep regret at the abuse at the hands of paedophile priests and lay people.

Reverend Barker is in charge of the diocese in the absence of a bishop following the death of Bishop Bill Wright last November.

"I continue to be saddened and regret deeply what has happened to so many innocent young people and their families," Reverend Barker wrote.

Ike Ekweremadu, a People's Democratic Party politician for 19 years who was once Deputy President of the nation's senate, and Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu are accused of trying to traffic the 15-year-old to the UK from Lagos.

The court heard the couple, who have four children and a house in Willesden, North London, hoped to transplant the boy's organs to their daughter who suffers from kidney failure.

Police were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery laws last month.

They arrested the couple two days ago at Heathrow Airport as they attempted to board a plane to Turkey - where it was suggested that the procedure could take place - the court heard.

Ekweremadu, 60, is said to have had £20,000 on him on at the time of his arrest, according to prosecutors.

The child is now under the care of safeguarding authorities and the Metropolitan Police, officials say.

Ekweremadu and accountant wife Beatrice, 55, are charged with conspiracy to arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.

The senator was wearing a grey sweater while his wife was wearing a black and white knitted cardigan at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court today.

Prosecutor Damla Ayas said: ‘It is conspiracy in relation to human trafficking offences for the purposes of organ harvesting. The victim in this case is 15 years old

‘They the couple were interviewed at the police station. Both of the defendants have provided a prepared statement.

‘Mr Ekweremadu in his prepared statement denied allegations of human trafficking.

‘He said at no stage has he arranged transport for anyone with intention to exploit them.’

His wife similarly denied the allegations in her prepared statement, the court heard.

Gavin Irwin, representing Ekweremadu, said: ‘There is no question this is a serious allegation. Mr Ekweremadu is a member of the senate in Nigeria.

‘He has previously held an even more senior role as deputy president of the senate.

‘He is a member of the bar in Nigeria. He is a principal in a law firm that bears his name.

‘Those issues taken together go way beyond him being a person of good character…rather that he has led a blameless life as a public servant.’

Mr Irwin added that the allegations were ‘nothing short of preposterous’.

The CEO of Facebook was speaking to CNBC's Jim Cramer as he attempts to blur the lines between virtual, augmented and actual reality in his futuristic world.

Maricopa County Republican Committee Executive Board To Reject 2020 Presidential Election After Election Audit and “2000 Mules” Documentary Prove Irrefutable Evidence of Fraud

The Maricopa County Republican Committee has introduced a resolution to formally reject the certification of the 2020 Presidential Election.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported that the same was done in Texas, where the Texas GOP declared the Joe Biden Regime illegitimate.

“The 2000 Mules Documentary irrefutably proves election fraud occurred in Maricopa County during the 2020 Election in the form of ballot trafficking through drop boxes,” states the resolution in Maricopa County.

“2000 Mules” was the latest blow to the stolen 2020 Presidential Election. Massive evidence of illegal ballot trafficking and a coordinated nationwide election fraud ring was presented by True the Vote and Dinesh D’Souza. The film revealed that over 200,000 illegal ballots were trafficked in Arizona.

Joe Biden, Justice Department Release Statements on Supreme Court Overturning New York’s Century-Old Law on Concealed Weapons

The US Supreme Court on Thursday struck down New York’s century-old law on carrying concealed weapons.

Prior to the Supreme Court’s Thursday ruling, the state could decide who it wanted to have this right and who it didn’t.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote New York’s law on concealed carry permits “violates the Fourteenth Amendment by preventing law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their right to keep and bear arms in public.”
