In a way it's pointless. It makes more sense to put positive energy into leaving the system and creating something new instead of effectively wasting more time and energy, especially when corrupt courts are involved.
And yeah, expecting that the corrupt system arrests itself is in fact silly.
w/ Sony is was like you buy something for DVD playback and Blu-ray playback and an additional feature and the company just pushes out an update, where you either apply it and keep that other feature, but lose DVD playback, or don't apply the update, and keep DVD playback, and lose the additional feature.
And then you go to court, because it's obviously illegal what they are doing.
And if you are lucky, you may get a few dollars back. In the probably best case scenario you get the money back that you spend on the hardware (minus inflation), but what about all the DVDs and games you bought? You can't give these back and get a full refund. What about digitally purchased content? Can't get that back either.
And that would be the ABSOLUTE minimum in a real state of law. On top of that should be a heavy fine. Well fuck that, in an actual state of law, the court would force the company to reinstate the advertised feature.
Well if they would force the company as stated (full refund full price on everything every spent on that), that would be effectively forcing the company to reinstate. Either that, or go bankrupt.
It's like pharma companies and killing people.
If you go around and put poison into drinks and 2 people get killed, you may get the death penalty (fair and square).
But when pharma kills, at worst they have to SHARE a few profits with the so called state of law and everything's fine again. CEO not arrested. Scientists not arrested either. Fauci not arrested. "Uh oh that that was a mistake, my honor tehe, yeah another mistake after 10 other mistakes, please here a few millions for you" - "ok, case dismissed"
As example look up what the quack Robert Koch did. Literally killing people. Couldn't say what's actually in his medicine (ingredients), kills people. can't even provide proof that it ever worked ("all the lab animals somehow all escaped tehe"), not arrested, no death penalty. No. Even wikipedia defends that piece of shit.
