Democrats were seen weeping and gnashing their teeth.

Several top Democrats called for mass protests, defiance, and chaos.

Islamist Terror Attack on Gay Nightclub in Oslo, Norway Kills Two, Wounds 21; Iranian Gunman Arrested

An Iranian immigrant to Norway attacked the popular London Pub gay nightclub in Oslo with gunfire around 1 a.m. Saturday, killing two and wounding twenty-one people, according to police. The alleged gunman Zaniar Matapour, 42, who was well known to state security, was arrested within minutes and has since been charged with terrorism. Eight of the wounded are hospitalized. Police say Matapour fired shots at three locations. The gay pride parade scheduled for Saturday in Oslo has been canceled.

Oslo’s annual Pride parade was canceled on Saturday following a deadly shooting at a gay bar that Norwegian police are investigating as a possible terrorist attack.

Two people were killed and eight others taken to hospital after the shooting near the London Pub, which describes itself on its website as “the largest gay and lesbian venue in Oslo.”

Police received multiple calls about the shooting at 1:14 a.m. local time, and arrived at the scene minutes later. They apprehended the male suspect three minutes after arrival, police said.

The suspect, charged with terrorism, is a Norwegian citizen originally from Iran, and was “known to the police,” but has only received “minor convictions” up until now, prosecutor Christian Hatlo told reporters in Oslo Saturday.

…There were wounded people on the ground inside and outside the bar when the police arrived. “The scene was chaotic, it was a warm evening and a lot of people were outside, so there were people running everywhere,” police told CNN.

Among the eight in hospital, three people are in critical condition. Another 14 victims sustained minor injuries.

The Norwegian Police Security Service said the alleged gunman is known to them. (Via translation.)

Many EU countries are in ‘direct war’ with Russia – Serbia

Europeans are sending weapons to Ukraine and are angry that Serbia “is not in their shoes,” President Aleksandar Vucic claims

Many EU states are in “a direct war” with Russia and are “angry” with Belgrade for refusing to go along with sanctions, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Saturday.

Speaking at a press conference two days after attending a meeting between the 27 EU leaders and six heads of government from the West Balkans, Vucic claimed the Balkans “were not important that day” for the EU, as the bloc is “completely at war with Russia” and its priority was to provide Ukraine and Moldova with EU candidate status.

“Viktor Orban [Hungarian prime minister] said that in the economic sense, Serbia and Montenegro are much more ready to be part of the EU than some other countries. But who cares?” Vucic remarked.

He explained that Serbia is now in a difficult position due to the pressure to join EU members in imposing sanctions on Russia. The president stressed he is aware of “how angry many of them are” over the issue.

“Many EU countries are in a direct war against Russia. They send howitzers, planes, S-300s to Ukraine, and how do you think they will treat us? They are not in our shoes as we are not in theirs, and that is why our position is extremely difficult. Will it be easier? Well, it won't,” Vucic said.

However, he pledged that Serbia will continue to pursue its European path as “there must be a rational and pragmatic approach in politics, which takes the interests into account.”

He noted that in Serbia, 300,000 people work directly and 500,000 indirectly for foreign companies, two thirds of which are from the EU.

“If you do not understand how important the EU is to us, I cannot change that,” he said, while claiming the West fails to appreciate how important it is for Serbia to refrain from anti-Russia sanctions, and to maintain good relations with both Russia and China.

Addressing the economic situation in Europe, Vucic gave a gloomy forecast, saying if the conflict in Donbass does not end with a truce, the world will face “a worse world war than the previous one.”

“A little man from the Balkans says that. I hope that they will start peace negotiations, otherwise we will all go,” he added.

On Thursday, the day when Ukraine and Moldova were granted EU candidate status, Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin said a military conflict with Russia appears to be the condition for fast-track accession to the European Union.

Pointing out that Ukraine falls short of the standards which are “so carefully applied to Balkan countries,” the minister claimed Kiev's “participation in the war was enough to start negotiations” on its EU membership. He added that if getting into war with someone is the only way to speed up Serbia’s accession to the EU, then “it is not worth it.”

Earlier this month the interior minister said his country was not interested in diminishing its “closeness and cooperation” with Moscow, and that by trying to force Belgrade to impose sanctions on Russia, the West simply seeks to “absolve” itself of its own crimes. His remarks came soon after German Chancellor Olaf Scholz urged Serbia to follow the EU's lead in sanctioning Russia, and recognize the breakaway province of Kosovo as an independent state if it hopes to join the bloc

Biden Signs Gun Control Bill Into Law

President Joe Biden on Saturday signed into law the biggest gun control measure introduced in the United States in decades after the bipartisan bill cleared both houses of Congress.

“I was there 30 years ago, the last time this nation passed meaningful gun safety laws and I’m here today for the most significant law to be passed since then,” Biden said at a June 25 press conference at the White House.

The legislation, called the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, passed the House on Friday in a 234–193 vote following Senate approval Thursday.

Key provisions of the bill include expanding federal background checks for people between 18 to 21, incentives for states to adopt so-called red flag laws, expanding access to mental health programs, and enhancing school security in a bid to prevent mass shootings.

“While this bill doesn’t do everything I want, it does include actions I’ve long called for that are going to save lives,” Biden said.

The legislation comes on the heels of mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, which killed 10 people, and Uvalde, Texas, which killed 21 people, including 19 children. Both gunmen were 18 years old.

“At a time when it seems impossible to get anything done in Washington, we are doing something consequential,” the president said.

Both Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) support the bill.

18 Dead, 76 Injured As 1000s Of African Migrants Storm Spanish Exclave of Melilla

Eighteen African migrants are dead and 76 injured after a mass storming of the Spanish exclave of Melilla in North Africa.

A Spanish government spokesperson said about 2,000 migrants attempted to cross, and 133 managed to breach the border of the Spanish territory, according to Associated Press. Those who made it through proceeded to a local migrant center where Spanish authorities are evaluating their cases.

Surrounded by Morocco, Melilla is a five-square-mile territory on the eastern side of a rocky peninsula on the Mediterranean Sea. Both Melilla and Ceuta—a similarly-situated Spanish territory—have been subjected to periodic border-storming over the years.

The two autonomous Spanish territories present migrants with the only land borders between Africa and the European Union, making them appealing targets for those who would otherwise have to attempt a Mediterranean crossing.

“A large group of sub-Saharans [Africans]…broke through the access gate of the Barrio Chino border checkpoint and entered Melilla by jumping over the roof of the checkpoint,” local Spanish government authorities said in a statement. All of them were reportedly adult men; the stampede began at 6:40 am local time.

The rest of the horde was repelled by the efforts of Spanish Civil Guard police and Moroccan security forces working both sides of the border fence. According to Moroccan authorities, the casualties occurred when migrants attempted to scale the iron fence.

SICK: Disney Announces They’ll Pay For Employees’ Abortion-Related Travel Costs

Walt Disney Company sent a memo to employees saying they would pay for the travel costs of employees seeking abortions.

The New York Post reported:

The Walt Disney Co. told employees it will cover travel expenses related to out-of-state abortions — wading into a politically fraught issue amid its ongoing battle with Republican-dominated Florida over the company’s opposition to the “Don’t Say Gay” law.

“Our company remains committed to removing barriers and providing comprehensive access to quality and affordable care for all of our employees, cast members and their families, including family planning and reproductive care, no matter where they live,” Disney executives said in a memo, which was reported by CNBC.

The memo continued: “In fact, we have processes in place so that an employee who may be unable to access care in one location has affordable coverage for receiving similar levels of care in another location.”

EU Renews Digital Covid Pass Despite 99% Negative Public Feedback

Acting on a proposal of the European Commission, the European Parliament, as expected, voted yesterday to renew the EU Digital Covid Certificate for another year. The vote was 453 for, 119 against and 19 abstentions.

The certificate regulation had been scheduled to expire on June 30. Earlier this month, a delegation from the parliament had already reached a “political agreement” with the Commission on renewing the certificate, thus making yesterday’s vote virtually a foregone conclusion.

The certificate regulation was originally adopted in June of last year, ostensibly to facilitate “safe travel” between EU member states. But the EU digital certificate quickly evolved into the model and sometimes infrastructure for the domestic “health” or Covid passes that would serve to restrict access to many other areas of social life over the following year.

The EU has opted to extend the covid certificate despite the overwhelmingly negative results of a public consultation on the subject that was launched by the European Commission under the heading of “Have Your Say” and that was open to the public from February 3 to April 8. The consultation elicited over 385,000 responses – almost all of which appear to be opposed to renewal!

In a letter to the European Ombudsman that the French member of the parliament Virginie Joron posted on her Twitter feed, Joron writes:

I read hundreds of responses at random with my team. I did not find any in favor of extending the QR code [i.e. the digital certificate]. Based on this large survey, it seems obvious that virtually all the responses were negative.

The overwhelmingly negative tendency of the responses was indeed evident from the outset. The first full page of responses, all of them dating from February 4, is available here. They are, of course, in a variety of European Union languages: French, German, Italian, and also one in English.

To provide readers an idea of the tenor, here is a translation of just the first line or two of the first several responses (starting from the bottom of the page):

I am completely opposed to the establishment of this certificate given what is currently happening with the EU’s disastrous handling of Covid…

I want this cst [probably a reference to Belgium’s “Covid Safe Ticket”] or vaccine passport simply to be eliminated…

There are claims made in the draft document that are not scientifically supported. For example, it is claimed that the Covid certificate represents effective protection against the spread of the virus – what data can support this claim?…

Hello, I am shocked and disgusted by the freedom-killing decisions taken in the EU … as regards this “European certificate” …

The covid certificate or green pass SHOULD BE ABOLISHED immediately as discriminatory and unconstitutional and not supported by any scientific data, because it is exclusively based on PUNITIVE measures for citizens…

I am opposed to the extension of the green pass, which serves no purpose other than creating discrimination…

I never want to be subjected to a discriminatory certificate again…

The digital Covid certificate should end immediately. There is so much data that supports the fact that digital passports have zero positive impact on transmission rates and in fact in the most vaccinated and highly regulated countries, there [sic.] covid rates are insane…

The renewal of the Digital Covid Certificate does not mean that it will be immediately applied, but that the infrastructure will remain in place and that it can be applied if and when member states see fit to do so.

The current rules for holding a valid EU Digital Covid Certificate do not only, needless to say, discriminate against the unvaccinated, but also against natural immunity, which is treated as more ephemeral than vaccine-induced immunity.

Proof of completed primary vaccination makes a certificate valid for 270 days; proof of having received a booster dose confers unlimited validity for the moment. On the other hand, proof of “recovery” – with a positive PCR test being the only accepted proof – only confers 180 days of validity.

'Violence is a legitimate and appropriate response to oppression,' leftist video producer Carlos Maza declares

During remarks on Friday about the Supreme Court's decision to strike down Roe v. Wade, President Joe Biden called for any protests to be peaceful — but Carlos Maza responded to the president's comments by declaring that violence is a suitable reaction to oppression.

Maza, who describes himself on Patreon as "a writer and video producer creating videos about propaganda in media," tweeted, "Violence is a legitimate and appropriate response to oppression."

Maza's tweet has already amassed more than 76,000 likes.

"The whole point of democratic governance is to create an alternative to violence. When the government is no longer democratic, you're supposed to go back to Plan A," he also tweeted.

"Fascists literally do not care how hard you vote. They are not trying to win elections. Violence is the only language they understand, and it's time we start speaking it," he wrote in another tweet.

Zach Weissmueller of Reason responded to Maza's post, noting that it is "Quite telling what gets removed from this platform and, by contrast, what not only lives but thrives on it."

U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) announced that multiple, large pallets of bricks have been left out in Washington D.C. The bricks are located not far from the Supreme Court Building and House offices.

“@CapitolPolice, why are there 20 pallets of bricks one block from the House Office Buildings?” Boebert asked in a tweet.

The bricks laid out in downtown Washington D.C. reminded many of similar occurrences during the violent George Floyd riots in 2020. During the riots, pallets of bricks were routinely found along protest routes in a number of cities that suffered violent riots.

In June 2020, police in St. Louis, Missouri identified pallets of bricks that were believed to be connected with riot activity. We have learned of & discovered stashes of bricks and rocks in & around the Plaza and Westport to be used during a riot,” announced the Kansas City Police Department on May 31, 2020. “If you see anything like this, you can text 911 and let us know so we can remove them. This keeps everyone safe and allows your voice to continue to be heard.”

Similar instances were reported in Minneapolis, New York City, Dallas and Washington D.C.

The Washington D.C. brick pile comes as far-left extremists have promised a “night of rage” in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade.

“THE NIGHT SCOTUS OVERTURNS ROE V. WADE HIT THE STREETS YOU SAID YOU’D RIOT,” said the far-left extremist group “Jane’s Revenge” in a statement. “TO OUR OPPRESSORS: IF ABORTIONS AREN’T SAFE, YOU’RE NOT EITHER.’ JANE’S REVENGE.”

The group — which has claimed responsibility for firebombing attacks in Madison, Oregon and Iowa — distributed flyers around downtown Washington D.C. encouraging people to riot over the past week.

TikTok Quietly Reverses Ban On Pro-Abortion Group Using App To Protest Outside SCOTUS Justice Homes.

The Chinese Communist Party-linked social media platform TikTok quietly reversed its ban on a radical pro-abortion group using the app to organize protests outside conservative Supreme Court Justices’ homes.

The group – Ruth Sent Us – champions a variety of left-wing causes, with its core tenets comprising “Women Deserve Trust; Black Lives Matter; Love Is Love, and No Human Is Illegal.”

“Our 6-3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights. We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics,” explains the group’s website. The group became one of the leading organizers for far-left activists seeking to halt the U.S. Supreme Court’s potential decision to landmark Roe v. Wade decision, according to a leaked initial draft majority opinion.

Among the platforms the group actively uses to organize protestors is TikTok, a controversial social media platform due to its deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

TikTok’s parent company ByteDance employs former Chinese Communist Party officials, including individuals with military ties, to executive roles and grants party members preferential treatment in hiring processes. Its founder has also pledged to use ByteDance to “promote socialist core values” and devotion to the Chinese Communist Party, which recently acquired an official stake in the company.

Ruth Sent Us’s ability to use a foreign-controlled social media app to intimidate American Supreme Court Justices was briefly impeded when TikTok banned the group on May 14th, reportedly due to complaints about the group using the app to organize demonstrators. Just two days later, however, TikTok lifted the ban on the group without offering any explanation.

““GREAT NEWS: our TikTok @ruthsent which was ‘permanently banned’ due to mass reporting is back up due to mass appeals! There’s more of us than them. Take that, haters!” wrote the group on Twitter.

Since the ban was lifted, Ruth Sent Us has posted dozens of TikToks aimed at organizing protesters to intimidate Supreme Court Justices, including marching directly outside the homes of several conservative Justices.

The group has used the platform to raise funds for travel expenses for protesters’ “rides to the suburbs” home to Supreme Court Justices.

Several other videos provide meeting points for protestors to convene before heading to the houses of Supreme Court Justices including Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Detroit Police Arrest Woman After Finding Body of 3-Year-Old Child in Freezer

Authorities in Detroit arrested a 30-year-old woman early on Friday after the body of a 3-year-old boy was found inside the freezer of a home, police said.

The body was found in a freezer in the basement of the home after officers and child protective services were called to conduct a welfare check at the location, Detroit Police Department (DPD) Chief James White said at a news conference.

The cause and nature of the toddler’s death have not been released. Police didn’t say how long the boy had been in the freezer, but confirmed the body was “decomposing.”

Because there were other children at the home, authorities are withholding the exact address where the child was found. Police said the home was located in the Monte Vista area near Fullerton on Detroit’s westside.

“Upon making it to this location with Child Protective Services and interviewing the occupant of the home, it was determined that the 3-year-old child was deceased in this home in the basement. And, sadly, found in a freezer,” White said.

“This case has shocked me and has shocked our investigators,” the police chief added.

The woman, who has been identified as the child’s mother, was taken into custody but has not been named.

White said the woman appeared suspicious after her response to deputies was inconsistent while being interviewed. Officials then notified a supervisor to come to the home to have additional questioning.

“The discovery would not have been possible without the officers’ intuition,” White said. “When they talked to the occupant of the home, they recognized that there was something not right about the conversation and the way this occupant was communicating with them.”

The chief further explained that the woman’s initial response was dismissive, as if in an attempt to get the officers to leave.

The case will be jointly investigated by the DPD’s homicide unit and the department’s child abuse division.

Studio 54 club owner Mark Fleischman: ‘I’m ending my life by suicide’

A king of 1980s nightlife, Mark Fleischman caroused with the likes of Ron Wood, Keith Richards, Rick James and John Belushi. He owned the last nightclub incarnation of Studio 54, and, by his own admission, enjoyed more than his fair share of illicit substances. Threesomes were commonplace, as was boozing and coking it up with Robin Williams, tennis star Vitas Gerulaitis and other members of his after-hours loving “Dawn Patrol.”

Come July 13, however, Fleischman will drop his final drug: a lethal dose of barbiturates. With the assistance of the Swiss non-profit group Dignitas, Fleischman, 82, will commit legal suicide.

“I can’t walk, my speech is f–ked up and I can’t do anything for myself,” Fleischman, who is confined to a wheelchair, told The Post. “My wife helps me get into bed and I can’t dress or put on my shoes. I am taking a gentle way out. It is the easiest way out for me.”

Fleischman, who now resides near the beach in Marina Del Ray, Calif., said neurologists have been unable to diagnose his malady that began in 2016 when suddenly his left leg began dragging.

“It is worse than not being able to walk. Mark doesn’t have balance. He drops things and does not know where his body is in space,” Mimi Fleischman, his wife of 27 years, told The Post. “Doctors originally thought he had a form of Parkinson’s. But it is not that. Nobody knows what he has.”

His commitment to assisted suicide, Fleischman said, is not rash and has been percolating for at least two years. “I came to the decision slowly,” he said. “Two years ago, I decided that it wasn’t worth living. I took a lot of Xanax and ended up in the hospital.”

ER doctors brought him back from the brink of death, but, soon after, “I read a book about ending life. I read in there that the easiest way is to suffocate. But I did not want the pain. I was going to buy a gun. But my wife interceded. We started looking into a place where it would be legal to find someone to do it with.”

Initially, Mimi tried talking him out of the decision, but has decided to respect his wishes. “It’s going to be horrible,” she said. “He is my partner and we are devoted to each other. Hunter Biden met with Russian oligarch now wanted for murder

When his father was the second most powerful man in the world, Hunter Biden met in Russia with at least four oligarchs closely aligned with Vladimir Putin — including one who is now wanted for murder in the country, The Post has learned.

The meeting with Telman Ismailov took place on Feb. 17, 2012 at the Moscow headquarters of AST Group, his vast holding company which once owned a publishing house, a tour company, and had a telecom division, according to the Moscow Times.

Ismailov was accused in 2017 by Russian authorities of paying $2 million for the murder of two entrepreneurs a year earlier, Agence France-Presse reported. Vladimir Savkin, a shopping mall magnate and Yury Brilev, founder of Lyublino Motors, were both bumped off on the Novorizhskoye highway in Moscow, allegedly over a business dispute with Ismailov, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia, the country’s primary federal investigations agency

A lawyer for Ismailov did not respond to request for comment from The Post about either the alleged murders or the Hunter Biden meeting, but told Radio Free Europe that the charges were bogus and “a result of political and economic persecution by the Russian Federation.” In February he was granted asylum by Montenegro.

It’s unclear what Hunter Biden wanted with Ismailov, but the trip was part of a two-day meet and greet between Hunter and wealthy oligarchs in the country — which at least in part focused on seeking foreign cash for Rosemont Realty, an offshoot of Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca Partners. The investment company was co-founded by Hunter Biden, Devon Archer and Chris Heinz.

The flurry of meetings raise questions about what matters were discussed and whether the oligarchs sought any untoward access to Hunter Biden’s father. On Feb. 22, 2012 — just days after returning from Russia — Hunter Biden met with Vice President Biden at his home in the Naval Observatory, his calendar shows.

“The only reason someone — other than a crack dealer or a hooker — would want to meet Hunter Biden is to get to his dad,” said Jim Hanson, president of the Security Studies Group. “They were selling access, it was their business model. The Biden family was involved in capitalizing on Joe’s political career.”

Ironically, it was Joe Biden who lambasted President Trump over his ties to Russia.

“Donald Trump’s entire presidency has been a gift to Putin,” then-candidate Biden said in a June 2020 tweet. “Unlike Trump, I’ll defend our democratic values and stand up to autocrats like Putin,” he added in August.

The other billionaire oligarchs penciled into Hunter Biden’s calendar — which The Post found on a hard drive Hunter Biden abandoned at a Delaware computer repair store in April 2019 — included Sergey Chemezov, the CEO of the Russian state owned conglomerate Rostec (formerly Rostekhnologii); Vladimir Yevtushenkov, President of the Russian Holding company Sistema; and Samuel S. Karapetyan, a Russian real estate baron.

Who Asked? Boris, Macron, European Leaders Rush to Condemn Roe v. Wade Ruling on Abortion

A chorus of criticism from European leaders rung out on Friday to condemn the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

In the hours after the U.S. Supreme Court made its ruling on Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization which overturned the notion that there is a constitutional right to abortion set out in Roe v. Wade — despite America’s founding document making no mention of abortion — leaders from Europe rushed to condemn the decision that will hand back matters of abortion to the state level.

While British leaders typically refrain from commenting on legal matters in the United States, or indeed other ally nations, Prime Minister Boris Johnson led the charge of European leaders attacking the decision during a press conference in Kigali, Rwanda on Friday, saying that the ruling was a “big step backwards”.

“I have always believed in a woman’s right to choose and I stick to that view, that’s why the UK has the laws that it does,” Johnson added.

Despite leading the supposedly Conservative party in Britain, Mr Johnson’s government has vastly expanded abortion access during his tenure. In March, the government made permanent the originally “temporary” coronavirus measure to allow women access to pregnancy ending drugs at home, meaning that abortions can be performed at home with little more than a phone call to the National Health Service (NHS).

The leader of the left-wing opposition Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer, also condemned the move to strike down Roe, writing on social media: “Today’s devastating Supreme Court decision is a massive setback for women’s rights in the United States of America. The right of women to make their own decisions about their own bodies is a fundamental human right.”

Across the English Channel, embattled French President Emmanuel Macron weighed in on the debate as well, saying: “Abortion is a fundamental right for all women. It must be protected. I wish to express my solidarity with the women whose liberties are being undermined by the Supreme Court of the United States.”

Ironically, France has stricter abortion laws than some states in America, where left-wing legislatures have legalised abortions up until birth, compared to France, which sets a limit of 14 weeks to end a pregnancy.

Mette Frederiksen, who became the second woman to hold the office of prime minister in Denmark in 2019, commented: “My heart weeps for the girls and women of the USA. A huge set back. The right to a free abortion is one of the most fundamental rights there is. We must never compromise the unrestricted right of women to decide over their own bodies and future.”

Pedro Sanchez, the socialist prime minster of Spain, which is set to allow 16 and 17 year old girls seek abortions without parental consent, said: “We cannot take any rights for granted. Social achievements are always at risk of going backwards and their defence has to be our day to day. Women must be able to decide freely about their lives.”
