FFS. Reverted means changed back. It's unambiguous. Either way, it does not get "changed back" by accident.
For those paying attention, when the salt changes, and you use the correct pw, the trip changes. That is why MANY TIMES Q had to re-verify via external means (the new trip we see). Like that time DJT literally tweeted the new trip as the first letters of the words in a tweet.
That is because only that trip is allowed on this board. It has nothing to do with the salt. Again, which is why Q has many known trip's.
Whitelisting has nothing to do with the salt.
This is not a pub/priv key situation. Anyone with admin access can do it. Honestly, Jim strikes me as a good person, and his history is interesting. Clearly the team felt the same way.
