Let me break it down real simple for you what ‘salt’ is.
Simply put, salt is just added obscurity to the encryption cipher.
For example, instead of mod 23890 it would add to the modulus and make more rounds through the cipher making it even more difficult to brute force.
Changing the salt (changing the modulus) would completely change the output of the text. Completely impossible for the same text (same tripcode) to come out once you change the salt.
Furthermore, (nearly) completely impossible to get the same tripcode by using a different password after changing the salt.
