This can be shown in the way the pride flag has red on top purple on bottom. In most every mystic culture/religion/school the hierarchy has red at the bottom and purple at the top. In most societies purple is a color denoting high status or high spirituality.
Basic chakra stuff, they want you in your base emotions so you're not smart enough to grow out of it and listen to your heart and soul.
Mixing red and blue together creates purple, yes, but that's not how the light/energy spectrum works. It's not like paint or ink.
