FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION - "Q" was a training exercise, and that operation is done. It was incredibly successful at "fielding" a "digital army" that overcame the censorship to spread truth. It's highly likely that this board is still monitored (low priority) by those involved with that operation. It's likely that some clandestine "un-Q-like" items of import are being posted from time to time here as anon to help "nudge" us in certain directions.
It's also highly likely that this board is actively (high priority) monitored by other intelligence orgs domestic and foreign and stateless (they are looking for the nudges, analyzing efforts, unsure if Q will come back). This board is always under attack in various ways, and "counter-Q" psyops are being run here continuously. Similarly, it's likely that SOMETHING on this board (it's code, it's people) are likely "comped" the same way that other "levers of power" have obviously been comped by (them). If (they) can compromise systems of control from presidents/prime ministers to international orgs to school boards to entire balloting process, (they) can compromise this board. They've had years to do this. Think about it.
WHY RETURN? The people who ran "Q" do not gain advantage with a "return", at least not in a "Q" way. Think about it. "We have more than we know". It's all been shared already. If you want to "find" Q, then re-read the old Q posts and look for information that "surfaces" from those posts that make sense when "news unlocks". I do think we get "nudged" from time to time by white hats, but mostly we've been on our own for about a year and a half, basically talking shop and keeping the shills frustrated. A return would be an unforced error at this point, and I don't think the people who ran this op make many of those.
