I can give you some info, but without a sample of the exhaust stream nothing definitive. First, chem-trails are real, full stop.

The thing everyone needs to know is that jet aircraft worldwide transitioned into RVSM (reduced vertical separation minimum) late 90's. Short version, they fly higher, but closer and the air is smoother. Oddly enough, it didn't really catch on in the states for years.

The only reason I'm aware of it is because I personally helped the USAF transition/certify some of their older aircraft in 2012. This is the reason you see so many lingering trails so high up these days, they are literally flying higher. There is a greater temperature differential, less density and less turbulence so the contrails are longer, smoother and linger for greater periods of time. That being said, it doesn't mean they aren't spraying poison also.
