2, van being hit off doesn't phase the truck driver, he just keeps going like nothing happened. . Something like that would definitely get the drivers attention.
3, "Citations were given?" Are you fucking kidding me? Citations don't just get handed out when a multimillion dollar bridge becomes comprimised. Government engineers come out and have to check the bridge for integrity just to see if anything might have cracked inside the concrete. If there's even the slightest damage to a bridge internally the entire bridge needs to be rebuilt. People get arrested and investigated.
4, Jalopnick, Breaking 911, and www.local10.com are the only websites that have this.
5, there are absolutely no other articles about this anywhere on google or brave.
6, There are some websites that talk about a bridge that was damaged at the same time close by but those articles say the repairs were completed within a day.
7, NO WAY possible thag bridge was repaired in less than 6 months. The damage destroyed the bridge support.
8, people are commenting on the local news agency's website talking about how stupid and unsafe these truck drivers are. I'm sorry but I dispatched truckers and l did inspections on tour buses so let me tell you, CDL drivers don't fuck around when it comes to safety. they know if they're not safe, they're more than likely going to jail if anything were to happen to anyone else on the road.
