At NATO summit, Biden announces permanent U.S. troop presence in Poland, increased support for eastern Europe

Pretty soon we'll be hearing how the Pentagon is requesting funding from Congress to build the new military base they're planning near Saint Petersburg.

Biden said the U.S. would establish a permanent troop presence in Poland and maintain an additional rotational brigade of 3,000 fighters and 2,000 personnel in Romania. The troops in Poland will be the first permanent U.S. forces on NATO’s eastern flank.

The U.S. has deployed or extended the deployment of more than 20,000 additional forces to Europe since the start of Russian invasion of Ukraine in February, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said on Wednesday.

That brings the number American service members on the continent to more 100,000, Kirby said.

Hope they can keep up with all the logistics and supply chain issues involved with their needed moisturizers, fish-net stockings, glitter makeup, etc….
