Looking closely at the ice cream it appears that an area around the frog melted and then froze again.
This would indicate that the frog was put into the tub after the ice cream had originally frozen.
Heat from the from the frog melted the ice cream this suggests that a live frog was intentionally placed into the tub and the tub placed back in the freezer.
