Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow would respond to any rollout of military infrastructure in Finland and Sweden, after the Nordic nations' leaders signaled their intention to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

“The expansion of military infrastructure in the territory [of Finland and Sweden] will undoubtedly cause a response from our side,” Mr. Putin said in televised remarks Monday, during a meeting of the leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
