Hey anons, newfag here… Was, for reasons of my own, watching Joy Reid's famous Taco Truck on Every Corner interview (hot sauce below) and was thinking about her recent apology, and hypocrisy of the mainstream media staying with her, despite her recent troubles… (and the general trend therein, see also, the Roseanntha Bee episode, recently)… and so thinking about the falsereal division of identity groups and the politics of it and such… and anyway, I started watching the video of her apology… and there is some weird shit going on in the background pics, which seem timed to her speech… and just at the end of the second sauce she says that Her People [as opposed to the black woman lecturing to the immigrant that he didn't understand His People, ("our friends", as opposed to, in the Taco Truck interview… "your friends")… anyway, she says "our friends deserve better than what I have sometimes given them…"

And it ended at that moment, I'm pretty sure, with a picture of the Jefferson Memorial, from the side, in the background…

And I thought of the Jeffersonian-Hamiltonian divide in American history, and of the musical Hamilton, and of the line, "My name is Alexander Hamilton, and there's a million things I haven't done, but just you wait, just you wait…"

And how I don't want that. I'm with Thom.

Am I wrong?

And does anybody recognize the other shit going on in the background of the video?
